You can use any tank on the JAC but I admit it looks dopey if it's too big. So yes, I got a Kayfun Prime for my JAC. JAC offers a 25mm version now called the Sandstone. The Series B is a 22mm.

It can be done with W10 , you'll have to disable fast boot or secure boot whichever your system has before installing linux , if you're using UEFI you'll probably have to reset it to point to the linux bootloader at some point , W10 updates tend to reset everything , W10 wants total control . I keep W10 on a seperate hard drive and use the linux bootloader to make my choice , I keep the linux hdd ahead of the windows hdd in my boot order so W10 can't pull any stunts .
A painful reminder of why I despise tanks;
Put a spaced coil in my KFL V2+ for my Pico. But the ohms were only 0.3 (SS) which kept limiting the Pico, and the KFL wouldn't draw air properly.
Dump the juice, give the KFL a thorough cleaning, and wrapped another coil. 0 ohms.
Dump the juice, clean the KFL, wrap a third coil. Primed the coil, wick like always, good 0.7 ohms. And burned the cotton.
Decided 'F^%< this', filled my P67 and began squonking and vaping. No Hassle.
Bottom Feed Mods are just in my own DNA, I guess...
Any tank that was around before TC was introduced is questionable because the designs did not ensure the internal resistance of the atty was iron clad stable. With TC, there can be zero fluctuation in the internal resistance of the atty. The Kayfun Lites came out well before TC, Add that Pop might be using a clone too and I would not have much faith in it for TC (though some say it works fine for them). The Kayfun 5, Kayfun Mini V3. and Kayfun Prime are all solid with zero internal resistance fluctuations and work perfect for TC. The K4 (introduced just a few weeks before TC came out had some issues too but it was remedied with an optional spring design that Svoemesto made available later on.I bet that, that has to do with you using the ss wire, but that is just a guess, I have always used Kanthal in my Kayfun's and they always work great. I think I read that they don't work very good with temp control.
KAS
Also the small air flow control on these is kind of a joke.
A hacker can get into a hard wired system just as easily as a wifi system. Wifi systems have all kinds of protections just the same as hard wired systems. But like my dad always said, "Locks are for honest people". If someone wants into your system they will get into it...wifi or hardwired. And nowadays, almost all routers (and modems) come with wifi in it. You have to disable it if you don't want to use it.Oh my, I knew it was too good to be true. I think I will go back to my original plan and use my last computer before this one. That would require unhooking all the cables from this one though. I won't be getting a wi fi router either, as I said. Now I read that even smart speakers are hackable, and they can get into your computer and hack that, or make strange sounds come out in the middle of the night at a loud sound level. So I am staying pretty old school on most of my equipment these days. Everything is hard wired.
My SS coil is .4 ohms. Works fine. Sounds like your KFL is wobbly. (See my reply to KAS above for further explanation).A painful reminder of why I despise tanks;

You would have to look in the BIOS/Setup to find out if you're on UEFI or Legacy , as far as the installation the installer determines it automatically and set's up accordingly . It's not difficult to deal with the boot order . arrow keys and enter basically .Oh my, I knew it was too good to be true. The following paragraph will be too boring for most people, so don't bother to read it.
Things were much simper in the 90's - early 2000 time period. I have reset the boot before, but not sure if it was on this computer or the last one. I don't know if I'm on UEFI. If I mess up, I'm toast. I have no cell internet to work with. I have a friend that just buys a new computer if something messes up...HAHA. I don't have that option, so I will have to tough it out. I have changed a hard drive on an old computer before, and added ram. My last computer though is a very small and a tight fit inside the tower. You can't get in there and do anything because it is all jam packed inside. I learned my lesson and went back to a larger tower with this one, with room to work in it. I do have an extra slot here for another cdrom. 2 old computers back I have 2 cdrom's in it, and a new hard drive. (too small for current time) I still couldn't figure out why it was so slow, and gave up. (even WITH the new hard drive & added small amount of ram)
I've has to go back to using my Rose V2's and my Provari and Stingray , My hands won't cooperate with my REOS yet .A painful reminder of why I despise tanks;

You also have to ask yourself why anyone would want to hack you. There is nothing special about me that would attract a hacker. They'd do a lot better hacking the multi-millionaire who lives in a 12,000 square foot mansion a few streets over.I manually turned Wi fi, bluetooth and all that stuff off that I know about when I first used this computer. It isn't foolproof of course. I have my privacy settings locked down pretty hard too. Yes, if they want to get in, they can. I notice my firewall getting hit pretty hard constantly.
Some do it just for spite , why create a virus that attacks the average home user ? The SOB's do it all the time out of spite !You also have to ask yourself why anyone would want to hack you. That's why I confine my online activities to Linux , With a single click of the mouse Mint will encrypt the hard drive on installation , makes it pretty damned difficult , probably beyond the scope of the average ....... to get in .I manually turned Wi fi, bluetooth and all that stuff off that I know about when I first used this computer. True enuf but to do that they'd have to be within signal strength if their route was through my wifi. Either me or my neighbors show up with pistols if we see someone parked on the road for any length of time.Some do it just for spite , why create a virus that attacks the average home user ? I'm anxiously awaiting the day where we can tell cable and satellite companies to go screw themselves. I have a zillion stations I have to pay for and I watch only a dozen of them. Cable/Sat is a scam. They make everyone pay for all the channels so we end up with the large majority of them being crap. I'm waiting for Sling or one of them to add a couple more channels I want and then I can tell my cable company to scram. Another issue I have is our lack of options for internet. We have cable and DSL here but these days anymore the DSL is too lame to run stuff. The cable company knows it so we get gouged for their internet service. And they double the price of their internet service if you don't buy their TV and/or phone service. Total rip job.So I got called off today. I've spent most of it looking into streaming services. I came close to taking my cable box in and having the video turned off. But I didn't want to go out in the cold and the one deal breaker at this point is no DVR. But most of the services are working on it. The one I'm thinking about is Directv Now. They have four packages. ($35, $50, $60, $70) The $60 with 100+ channels would give me all the ones I watch now and then some. (BBCA) And the $50 I would only be missing a couple that I could do without anyway.
Their beta testing the cloud based DVR now. Directv Now has only been out about a year or so and the reviews are mixed. But like the other services there are bugs to work out. (Not like I haven't had cable bugs to deal with) At this point I think it's the service I've been looking for. Heck the $70 would be 120+ channels plus 8 Starz channels. Even with internet I'd still be saving money. In fact I could sign up and use my laptop instead of a streaming devise. Either way with the $180 I pay now I'm giving it serious consideration.
