I moved from Time Warner to DirectTV a couple of years ago. I pay dearly for it, but Mamaw has to have her "the man is always evil" channels, and I get Sunday Ticket. Occasionally they will have "Free" weekends of HBO/ Cinemax, or Showtime/ Starz. I just DVR a bunch of movies whenever that happens. And it;s still over $100 less than cable.
Still getting Road Runner for Internet, really should upgrade there too.

I'd hate myself too if I watched those "the man is always evil" channels.

My husband calls those the "how to kill your husband and get away with it channels" - and he doesn't allow them.. hahaha..
A woman can be as evil, self centered, dismissive, and uncaring as any man. I know some. I surely wouldn't want to immerse myself in TV shows with those kind of people. I prefer to be happy. :)

The bundle thing is how they like to get you. I could get the $70 Directv Now and 500/50 internet from my cable for another $70 (I'm sure it would be more with the crap they tack on). That would save me about $40 and I'd get all the channels I watch and then some.

I keep this up and I'll have myself talked into it.

I totally agree...

But not only that as I really really think most American women don't have a clue how good they have it... American men are, as a general rule, good to their wives.

Let's face it... I was once told that while I wasn't trusted to make out the grocery list or plan the meals, I was at the very least allowed to go to the grocery store with my ex, as well as allowed to work a job (although I'm positive that one wasn't exactly altruistic.. lol) because if we were in Syria I wouldn't be allowed out of the house so I should be "grateful" for the freedoms he allowed me

That "you should be grateful" was due to once asking to be allowed to plan our meals and shop for the food all by myself like other women get to do in this country...

Lol... I don't suppose I was very grateful although I do realize I should have been as I was allowed out of the house... many women I knew at the time were not allowed out for any reason, and the only way I got to see them was for him to take me to visit upon the permission of their husbands.

but yeah, to me those channels are full of a bunch of BS designed to make American women feel somehow slighted or mistreated in general. I just can't watch them. ..
I see no reason to be so negative and/or controlling toward women (or vice versa). Life is too short. And it's a whole lot more fun to be nice to each other. :)

One lifetime is not enough time for some people to figure that out .

bottled up about 9 bottles of mead... and still have 3 gallons left over, gonna let that sit a while longer and hope it clears up. Raw unfiltered honey makes for a "hazy" product. It does taste pretty awesome tho, alcohol content is up there too ;)

Processed honey seems to require a boiling stage to remove excess protiens and "pasturize" it, which makes for a very clear end product... Raw honey doesnt need the boil process due to natural capacities to ...... "unwanted" nasties showing up. The flavor is much richer and deeper than processed honey... just wish it had went clear... but hey, I'll bet the Nords didnt care if it was "fuzzy"...

Retic.... I have a bottle for you too... Ill bring it over with the tools.

Cant you filter it for a more clear end product? One would imagine you can...
