Evening....Not sure if I feel better or not. Didn't really sleep much last night. Maybe a touch because I could vape a little better. But not much. Well I'm taking tomorrow off but won't get to stay home till later. Have to go across town to get my DOT physical done. After that I can go to the store then lock myself inside for the rest of the weekend. It's A little more driving but if I'm feeling up to it I may just take my cable box in and cut the video part of my cable. Yes I'm that happy with Directv Now and the Roku. As for the DVR...I lived without one before so no big deal. Besides most of the networks put a show up the day after it airs.

I gave Cassie her hair cut today, and her nails have been trimmed. Now that a lot of that hair is off, I see she isn't chubby anymore. She is actually a perfect weight. I still need to go back and do some final touches on her hair. I never can seem to finish her in one day. Maybe in time she might surprise me by being perfectly still so we can get the job over with in a timely manner. I need to teach her the word "stand". She gets so bored she wants to lay down while I groom her.

David, a used Netgear Nighthawk AC1900, Model R7000 WiFi router on ebay just sold for $51 thru auction. A brand new one on Amazon is selling today for $147.
David, another one just went for $37. The power light led was stuck on red but it worked fine otherwise. I put in a last second bid of $32.50 but I was autobid out.

I'm still looking at routers. Currently buffer bloat is a problem with my setup. And I do need a modem as well. The only way I could hope to fix my router would be to flash the firmware. Which I have done before and may just try for the heck of it. The worst that can happen is I screw it up. Done that before as well.

One with an opening bid of $89 expired with no bids. When you can get one for $37 and $51 in the last hour why would anyone pay $89? DUH! I'm watching several others. I think I'm going to spring for one. I'll keep an eye for a bit and get a flavor for what a good buy would be. I really want to check out this AC wifi technology. My router/wifi has got to be 10 years old and I have to believe I can do better. It works fine but by the time it goes through an extender to the other end of the house it is kind of mediocre to maybe a little better than mediocre. I want GREAT!! Not sure the AC1900 will do it but it's worth a try. Saw a couple vids and a guy with my same internet service was cranking way better speeds than I was with my old wifi.

You have a Jurassic router. Sounds like you're beating a dead stegosaurus.

That's a cadillac modem. Arris is the brand modem/router/wifi I have now. Nothing special. So are you planning to ethernet-link all of your devices or will you still get wifi?

I'll still use wifi. Need it for my phone and laptop. No Ethernet on those. Could use Ethernet on the Roku but if the wifi works I'll go with that. Which it's doing now. See I don't really know what my internet speed is that I'm paying for. Yet..

What are they claiming your internet speed is?

If you're going to have all that on a wifi I think I would be more inclined to be a piker on the modem and sink the big loot into the wifi.

It's been so long since I checked it I don't really know. I know there's been a few upgrades. And my cable bill doesn't say. I haven't tried but maybe I can look it up.
