Sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me since I never think anything bad is going to happen. I don't stress over CT scans or colonoscopies. Not even blood work.

I just assume it will all work out. In fact, I determine that it will. I haven't felt sorry for myself since those first few days when I got the diagnosis. Then I came on here and asked about what to do to get my immune system fortified up to counteract this stupid disease.

Since then...nothing but net (to use a basketball euphemism)

I must be an oddball.

Oh, and @PapawBrett , my glass will be runnith over ;). BWAHAHAHAHA!
Not just half full!!!!! :D
Even keel. That's the way to go.

Absolutely NOTHING wrong with you! Being so positive is always beneficial. You still face difficulties, but you face them well by expecting the best. And you avoid additional harm that negativity causes. Rock on!

I, on the other hand cant afford to be ill... the wifey has enuf going on for both of us ;) as far as my skin cancer... its stabilized at the moment, no new growths or accellerated spots...

So is she stabilized? And what was the cause?

Just got my gas bill. $267. Largest heating bill I have ever had since I converted to natural gas five years ago. It was also easily the coldest stretch we had in five years too. No surprise my bill spiked. If I were still on propane it would have cost me more than $750 with the 2012 prices.

We ended up going on the budget plans for gas an electric. Our new house has the old single pane aluminum windows and they leak like no other, wouldn’t want to see what the winter bills would be here [emoji849]

We only have electric. We've used the heat more times this year than all 4 previous years put together. Strange, cold winter. At least our temps are moderating now.

we have the same windows... the wifey went out and bought some clear shower curtains and placed them inside the window frame to create a barrier... works pretty good too, no more drafts and currents :)

Good morning!

Flu has struck our house, it's going wild in our area. Bonus Girl has type A and type B. She's miserable but stayed in her room all evening last night. I so hope we all don't end up with it.

Our electric bill went up about 30% last month. Glad for the warmer days now.

I gave up on the old laptop, bought a Mac on Sunday. I'm loving it so far. I set up a phone/video appointment with Apple for Friday. I've got it figured out for the most part but maybe I'll learn some new tricks.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Army. Back to PT today.
Robin - Great News ! Your cup does runneth over !
Bridget, I am jealous. I keep thinking Mac, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Back in the old days, we would grab a staple gun and some 4ml clear plastic for wintertime. Just cover the inside of all those old single pane windows with plastic, and staple to the window frame. Now we just run ceramic heater in/ near the bathrooms and set the central heat at 70.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

{{{hugs}}} L. O. N. G. DISTANCE for bonus girl! I do hope none in the rest of the family get it. I heard it is a brutal flu year. So far we've not had a widespread outbreak around here.

I'm really limiting my public outings. I'm definitely in the category of being vulnerable.

I saw pictures of her that you posted on FB. She is lovely! You can see her happiness and contentment in her eyes. You've done a fantastic job with her. Kudos!!

2 hi speed pick up truck stories this morning....

#1 earned the Darwin Award...( aka no more PUtruck driver) traveling southbound on the Causeway ( the old bridge) was speeding and lost control... over the side he went and into the lake... thus, all the traffic that normally crosses the bridge was diverted to I-10 along with a 2 hr delay.

#2... I was in middle lane on Williams Blvd, lite had just turned green and an old lady was scurrying across the walkway as the light changed... PU truck behind me got impatient ( since I was slowing down to let her cross) and shot over into the right lane and floored it... he missed the lady by 1-2'... my heart literally jumped into my throat expecting the truck to lay her out all over Williams blvd... I guess he realized what he just did as he pulled into a parking lot of a Pizza place and sat there for a couple of minutes... ( I was at the next red lite and watched him) hope he learned something from this!!! o_O
