Well, the storm passed us! I can't believe how much rain we got. We had two periods of super heavy rain, and that is where we had some flooding. It was so bad I couldn't take the dogs out to use the restroom. Water covered part of my porch. I had to wait for it to go down a little. We had a bunch of thunder. That lavender I diffused for hours did help Bella. Only one time she jumped up on my chair, wanting in my lap.

Robin, you might try some shea butter mixed with cocoa butter. If you have coconut oil or jojoba oil (wax) add a dab of that too. It is better than any lotion I've tried from the store.

I will look for that. Thanks! :)

There's nothing I can do to stop the peeling but I can try to keep moisturizing my hands to help with the pain.

Well, monthly evaluation in PT. The Mistress of Purgatory says I have reached 3 out of 6 goals.
Tomorrow I get evaluated for injections in the neck. Not looking forward to that, but if it can get me back to work it will help...

So I bought some batteries off of E-Bay. AW IMR 18350's for my VV Grands and Woodvils. Forget the price (cheap) but they come in 2-packs so I ordered five packs.
And now they are arriving two by two. Just like Noah's Ark. One pack of two yesterday, three packs of two today. You would think it would save on shipping costs just to throw all ten on a bubble envelope, but nooooo ....

Where has sanity gone ?

Dragged out my Jason Bourne trilogy. Finishing up the first one. Love that series. Seems every time I watch it I learn something new.

When the first one, Bourne Identity, came out my son insisted that I watch it. Said it was "like the old movies" where you start with nothing and figure it out as you go along.

Yes. Lots to pay attention to. And the second and third movies were just as intriguing as the first. Only bummer about the series is that German girl gets whacked early in movie 2. I liked her.

Hey! Spoiler alerts, man!

Just kidding. Not my kinda genre and I won’t be watching it. But if I do, I now know not to bond too much with the German girl. ;)

Hubs loooves the series too. Funnily enough my favorite is the one without Matt Damon.

Thank you

I think the side effect is starting to diminish *knock on wood*. Now that I know what to expect going forward, hopefully I can get ahead of it before it becomes painful. Just gotta keep reminding myself 'it's only temporary' ;)

Good morning Army!! Beautiful day today  80's and glorious.

New Orleans La.
the manager at work asked me if I wanted to take on a "Line haul"... ( same run everyday 5 days a week... 750 miles round trip) would make about 100K$ a yr.
that would entail getting up at midnite loading up by 2 am drive from Nola to Birmingham Al. unload and return for about 3 pm.. thats about a 15 hr session of a work day.... I would be looking at about 650$ in gas per week... plus about 3800 miles a week.

If I was about 20 yrs younger...... ;)

That would be a rough run every day.
