LA they downgraded from the extreme flood forecast a bit. They did extend the first alert to Thursday, since it got here slower than they thought. We have been lucky so far. It is raining, but not too bad at the moment. I didn't get everything done today that I wanted to. I was charging batteries so I didn't run the diffuser with Lavender for Bella yet. (I think I could use some too...HAHA) I'm on the last battery for the flashlights, then I charge the cell phone. I have a flashlight that takes 3 18650 batteries. They take forever it seems to juice. The charger will only do two big batteries at once. I am much calmer now than I was earlier.

Ugh. I do not miss ice storms. Stay safe (and warm) until it melts! Do you have a fireplace, or some other alternate heat to get you through?
Nope. Nothing. But we didn't get more overnight. Possibility of more this evening. Still have power. DH does have access to a generator if it goes out tho.

ETA: It is beautiful out tho, with a layer of ice on everything!

I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Cold front to the west, warm from from the east, and tropical moisture going up between both. That moisture is being pulled up from the Gulf of Mexico straight up through my area. They put us in a very high risk for flooding. You KNOW I wanted to hear that. So today I have been doing last minute stuff.

I went ahead and checked my tires, got gas, ran to the store, raking pine straw off the curb so the water will flow, rigged the old aluminum boat so hopefully it won't get too full and bust my tires out (the drain plug is open but it only flows so fast), juicing batteries, juicing up the old timey GPS, charged my phones...blah blah. I still have more batteries to charge for my flashlights. Now I have to charge the cell phone again. We are having the worst rain tonight until Thurs morning I think. Still rain until Sunday. We already had a full week of rain last week, and minor flooding before that. I am not in a relaxed frame of mind right now, to say the least.

Sheesh! Time to build an Ark? Seems as though you get more than your fair share of rain!!! Stay safe!

Hubs had the port put in for chemo today. Ist session on Friday.

I'm also praying for your hubby. :nun: Do you know what chemo he is going to have?

Last said she knew his schedule but did not elaborate on what kind of chemo. I'm guessing she knows by now. I think the more she knows the better his outcome will be. Right? :)

Robin, this is not usual for us at all. We don't get spring rains at this time of February. This is more than spring rain. We had flooding not long ago. It wasn't too bad, but the porch flooded so I couldn't take the dogs out. (for a while)
It wouldn't surprise me if this was weather being manipulated. A g e n d a 2 0 3 0. Enough said.

Absolutely.

I knew she didn't know the last time I asked. By now they should have been given the paperwork on what exactly will be used. In that packet will have also some of the most common side effects listed for each drug that will be used.

If I'm familiar with any of the ones he will be getting, I might be able to help with tips that I've learned.

I don't know if I want to look that up. :/

You probably don't want to know about that or A G E N D A 2 1. (or the newest one called V i s i o n 2 0 5 0) It is a plan for us, whether we like it or not.

Indeed. And there are those who count on us not wanting to know. We’ve all been so beaten down and stressed out, traumatized and terrified that it’s all we can do to get through a day.

Let’s just say that had there been a fraction of the stuff going on back in the days of the American Revolution that there is now, folks would not have put up with it! By now we are so conditioned to expect to be lied to and manipulated that we just put our heads down and hope to be okay.

One ray of hope in all of it though: If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. :)

how about not continually increasing the population of the world for about 10-20 yrs? slow down the growth rate let it level out at about 3-5billion and maintain that? then the resources could possibly rebound and be sufficient?

when I lived in Slidell i was an avid bass fishing nut... would go just about every morning and do about 2 hrs worth... over the 3 yrs of doing it I watched the nutria population grow in an exponential manner... one winter was pretty harsh and all the marsh grass froze... that spring there were literally thousands of dead nutria floating around... the majority died of starvation... that summer, the marsh in that area had regrown into a lush healthy ecosystem and the fishing was awesome... and there were hardly any nutria to be seen... eventually the nutria population came back over the next 2 yrs but it didnt return to that excessivly high count as it had been... I ended up moving from Slidell so I never had the chance to see how things went from that point.

BK the western society has slowed. We aren't having as many children. We bring in over a million people a year. We are going to be pushed into mega cities. That would be a nightmare for me. I could say more, but there are search engines for that.
