We need to keep this between ourselves but since I moved to this home eleven years ago I have switched to fescue. I have a rake I put on the back of my trusty old John Deere and use it one time each year then over seed the yard part of this land with fescue. It has been a long slow process but the fescue propagates itself better, it is squeezing out the other stuff. Southern States sees me once a year for a fifty pound bag. I tried some a creeper one year, Zoysia plugs I think, it went nowhere.
Don't worry! We won't tell a soul!

Hey hey it’s almost Friday! Anyone suffering from Triskaidekaphobia - pay no attention to the date. Focus only on the Friday part. :)
Doesn't bother me a bit, it's Friday...it's Payday....what's not to like!

Friday the 13th isnt an issue...its the Saturday the 14th thats the problem... that means its exactly 2 weeks into the month, and we all know what that entails ;)

ever wonder where the phrase "Bird Brained" came from?? ;)
Speaking of, I was turning into the receiver this am but there was a truck coming the other way. He got there first, so I was waiting. He didn't seem to be moving, so I almost went ahead of him. Then I realized he was moving... in first gear, riding the break.

Anyhow, this customer you check in at the gate, drive to the gravel lot behind the warehouse and call in for a door. I got through the gate, went around him, drove past the warehouse, called in and got door 38. All the way back at the other end. While driving to my door I passed him again (He was still headed to the gravel lot) at door 80.

I got backed in, went inside, checked in with receiving, moved down to the lumper window, and while I was waiting on them he finally made it to the gravel lot and called in.

My mother wouldn't leave the house on Friday 13th. She is superstitious. I hope she doesn't know what today is. I will be calling her after while, like I do every day. I'm not telling her what today is. We are supposed to have the chance for just about anything later today, and tonight...weather related. I am dreading that. Several days ago they said today would be a "dangerous" storm, and a damaging storm on one particular weather channel. I hate it when they say that. I'd rather they just say we have a chance of severe weather, and leave it at that. Then maybe 24 hours before the storm, give us more particulars. Yesterday was pretty spooky with winds gusting to around 30mph, all dang day and night. Before a storm you may see that, but not for that many hours. The fact they have been spraying who knows what for just about every day this whole month, does not help.

Filing taxes. One of the most depressing days of the year for me. It just reminds me what a scam income taxes are. We get bent over big time! And I'll say it again...if tax filers had to actually go up to a window and pay their taxes to a federal employee with cold hard cash there would be a major revolt in this country. Guaranteed! Sadly, taxpayers are conditioned to accept these outrageous taxes because income taxes, medicare, and social security are deducted/withheld from our very first paycheck in our life. We would never do business with a company who treated us the way our federal government treats us.

I downloaded the form for an extension, I will get it in the mail on April 17. I make sure that I always owe them. @Bronze You are so right, if everyone paid taxes like I do, miserably writing a check each quarter, then there would be a revolt. The withholding system is one of the great hood winks ever devised. I wish I had a dime (which I would not report) for everyone who does not know how much they pay in taxes or who thinks they pay no tax because they get a refund then I would be rich.
I am going sit down, cool down and go pound a rock for a while.

Seriously! I have to walk away after a bit. I just get too damn mad. It's one thing to pay too much. It's another thing to watch those clowns in DC squander it all. And a third thing to run to China with hand out begging for loans to pay for crap we don't have enough money for. We get all three things. Right up the ....!

And then last night the House put a vote forward for a balanced budget amendment. Need two thirds vote. Guess what happened to that bill?

Well Bronze, after I got my mother on the phone the first thing she said was it was Friday the 13th. Then she proceeded to tell me it started off badly already. She woke up with no electricity this morning. It is a given if that happens, she will be in a bad mood. That means no coffee, and no tv. Her tv is her main enjoyment, she watches it just about the whole day/night. Thankfully her electricity is back now. She said after she got up, she heard another transformer blowing out. That wind as I said was terrible. Sometimes I think it gusted to 40 mph, but mostly it was hitting 30 mph. So I guess trees are probably losing limbs, and falling on power lines. Hopefully the storm won't be as bad as they say. I will find out soon enough.

The classic frog in a beaker scenario.

From what I’ve learned, the money goes to the Federal Reserve. If people understood what they are, that too would trigger a revolt. It’s not just China but a whole host of debtors who own us. I’ve also read that the founding documents of this country immediately had us in debt to the Crown - to pay for the Revolution. I haven’t researched that claim so I’m not certain it’s true. But it wouldn’t surprise me.

We are born and assigned a number without which we can’t work or do anything. Sounds an awful lot like a prison/enslavement system to me. /end rant

We were in debt to ourselves to pay for the Revolution. It's a miracle this country ever won a revolution much less survived after it.
