I don't know much about volcanoes. I do remember the Pompeii story and was horrified. I don't care for cheaper airfare. I won't be getting on a plane again, unless my life depends on it. I used to fly all the time. But I have read too many horror stories lately about them. I'd rather take my chances on the ground. Now a private well maintained plane is fine with me. I know two pilots, and I have flown in small aircraft. I like bigger planes though, they are smoother riding most of the time. There were 2-3 times in the 80's that I was in a scary plane episode. Now it seems they pack you in like cattle and treat you like dirt, so no thanks on that. It seems we will live in the time soon when we will be able to call an air taxi. I would rather drive my vehicle.
I believe in the Genesis story, so I don't believe we were transplanted. I do also believe it is possible
for other intelligent life to exist outside of our planet. I don't think we should have a calling sign out in
space to invite them. BK's story would make an excellent idea for a book. Go for it BK!
BK, I agree about people losing the old ways to survive, such as knowing how to start a fire. We have depended too much on modern technology, I'm afraid that is going to bite us in the behind sooner or later. My son knows how to start a bow drill fire. He did all kinds of stuff like that when he was a teenager. I've seen plenty of survival shows, most of them with my son. I locked some of the food choices in my mind for if they are needed, and I've written some down. I would have to be starving to try some of it, to be honest.
