Classwife, I think Arby's used A-1 in some type of burger previously. (they still may) I didn't try one, because I never was a fan of it. I might like it now though, as sometimes your taste changes over time. I loved Worcestershire from Lea & Perrins. I guess that is because my mother used it in a few things, and I acquired a taste for it. My dad used A-1 on his steak for a long time. I tried it on my steak when I was a kid, but never liked it.

Arby’s ad campaign a while back cracked me up. “I’m so hungry I could eat Arby’s” - or something like that. It always made me think that Arby’s food is so bad you’d only eat it if you were starving. But I overthink a lot. :)

I loved Arby’s roast beef. Just the plain old original.

and to Arby's I went.

Dang, I'm glad I just got through eating before I saw all this latest stuff. Papaw I like the Swiss Roast Beef 'n French Dip too, or whatever they call that. I also like the Reuben, and the one with bell peppers and meat. I can't remember the name of that one. The last one is my favorite, you think I'd remember. I don't like the plain roast beef sandwich they have, even dressed up with sauces.

Arby's is nasty

Afternoon....So I went to Lowe's. Bought a cheap plastic trash can, a mop and a roll of string. Total $51, minus $50 gift card, new total $1. :)
A couple weeks ago I stopped by the Goodwill store and found a off brand center speaker for $6. Duel subs and tweeters verses the singles I had. Improved the dialogue I was hearing. Today I stopped and found 4 Pioneer surround speakers for $6. Replaced both back speakers. (one had a bad sub) And the other 2 I put on the wall behind the TV. Why? Because I can. Don't know what difference they will make but what the heck. Need to play with the settings some more to see what it sounds like. Now an audiophile would say there's no way I could get good sound from the miss match speakers. That may be true but then I'm haft way tone deaf anyways so I don't care..:pervy:

I concur. Your issue is sound, not quality of sound. Good buys! Amazing what you can find for cheap if you have patience.

That's true... I also ordered a hearing aid dryer today from Amazon. $60. There were cheaper ones but the one I got has the most and highest reviews. It heats up to remove moisture and uses a UV light to disinfect them. I've learned I should have bought one when I got the aids. But I wasn't told about it when I got them .:?: Which is one reason I won't be going back there for new ones.

Also I've needed a new bed for years. I have moved it up on my list. Been looking and I'll like order a foam one on line. There's a lot of company's so I've been reading and watching reviews..

You shop like me. A value shopper. Takes more time and effort but the results pay off. Never thought of buying a bed online. But then I havent thought about buying a bed from anywhere.

Have you got those hearing aids fine tuned? Are the batts expensive?

I downloaded the Beta for LM19Cinnamon and I've been playing with it on a USB stick , they've made major improvements in speed on it , enough to where I'd consider it for a backup to Manjaro but I still don't care for the theming or having to scroll the main menu or the settings being to scattered . But that's a matter of user preference and not a deal breaker . One of the devs at LM is gonna write a script that will remove XFCE from said version of LM19 and replace it with KDE Plasma from Ubuntu . I will play with that just for S&G . Here's some screenshots from my Manjaro KDE setup showing the menu setup I use .

And the settings page , makes it easier if you're as lazy as I am .:)

    @retic1959 - NICE!

That settings screen is a lot like the one on my Mac. So much easier.
I have it pinned to my taskbar so I can change settings on the fly , namely the sound settings . I can boost output from any app or source to 150% , great for streaming videos where the recorded levels are too low and the dialogue is hard to hear . I can't stand the way things are scattered in Windoze 10 along with the scrolling on the main menu , it's not necessary IMO . I don't like seeing some of the linux desktops going in that direction either , along with the icon sets making them look like a cell phone or a bad comic book in the case of W10 . It's one thing to be able to access your phone from your desktop but having it look like one is another . If I don't like so much as a single icon out of a set in KDE I can and have changed that single icon to suit me . Can't do it in any of the other desktops without replacing it in several locations . I've gotten picky I guess .

    Good morning, Army.

Finally(!) the rain has stopped and we are back in the soupy heat. My kinda weather!! Pool temp is now on the range I like and swam a bit last evening.

We have a peacock in the neighborhood. They make quite the noise at times.

They are tuned as well as I think they could be bur I gave up on the place I was going.. The batteries aren't to bad. Depends on the brand you buy. I've found Energizer seem to work the best for me. But Rayovac has a new one I may try...
