They said she was drunk. Oh, really? As if we need to be told.
I dunno about that, what with the preponderance of nitwits today, I could fully see her and many others doing this sober.

Yep, the "inflation index" is based on something or another - Gawd knows what - but excludes food, vehicle gas, heating and cooling energy costs, medical coverage and kids tuition. No wonder we're all supposed to be so well off, and what the heck are we all whining about, damned serfs?

went and put gas into my van ( 33 gal tank) and "thought" 40$ would pretty much top it off... I ended up with 16 gallons and still have a 1/3 tank to fill... I had to take a second look at the price ( for regular) and saw it was 2.50 a gallon... premium is floating at 3.45$ a gallon in nawlinz.... had to fill the car while I was in Pensacola and premium was at 3.86 a gallon... ouch!!

and I remember when gas was 27 cents a gallon... imagine 2.70$ would pretty much fill the tank... now it just gets you a tad bit over a gallon....

Pike in the weedbeds. Bronzebacks around the rock piles. Walleye deep. An occasional Muskie. Molson's in the icebox. Mid-summer, 75 degrees, crystal clear water, no humidity, no people, no roads, no telephones, no TVs, no nuthin'.

I could go for some Ontario weather until fall here. Fishing and relaxing, that sounds awesome.

I still didn't finish my plant work outside yet. It is almost through, thank goodness. The dogs want me in here with them. They hate it when they can hear me, and I can't let them come out there with me. I had to stop because the mosquitoes were getting congregated up on the porch. They don't bother you there until late afternoon. After that time they like to come to the porch, they smell the water when I water the plants. It is so dry they probably don't have many places to lay their eggs.

kkay, I hate to think what this summer has in store for us. And we are just getting started. We've got at least 3 more months of temperatures hotter than this ahead of us.

Remind me again why I live in Texas. I need to be rich so I wouldn't have to work and I could have a summer home somewhere where it's cool.

Hmmm... maybe if we all pool our pennies together we could set ourselves up with an HHV Army Compound. Set up a bunch of tiny homes on a piece of land... It could work!

I like how you think, sir.

And they just keep squeezing tighter. It’s so absurd. Tragi-Comedy. I still say the best things in life are free. ;)

Time to raid the couch cushions! Let’s pool our pennies! :)

One good thing about the extreme heat here is it’s too hot for mosquitoes. I think we hit 108 yesterday. Gonna be a long summer.

LA, the change in my couch wouldn't buy me a gallon of gas. I imagine I will be getting a very small house of some sort in the future, hopefully on an acre of land.

I hate mosquitoes with a passion. Most varieties of them won't go out in the hot sun, there is one kind that recently came here last year, and it will bite you in the sun at the hottest part of the day. Hopefully they were passing through, and I won't see them again. I am a mosquito magnet for some reason. 108 is too hot for me, but then you are out in the desert, or close to it. The humidity here reminds me of Charleston, SC. Once it gets in the 90's, I would rather be in the house by the air conditioner. Once it is in the mid 90's on up, I can't stand it.
We seem to have two kinds of weather here, super hot or cold. The rare times in between are to be cherished while it lasts. Even in winter we have a wet cold, not a dry cold. I would rather have winter than summer. At least in winter you can put on extra clothing if need be.

I need to head off to bed. I forgot to take my melatonin at the normal time, and now I'm just getting a bit sleepy.

Oh sure, go ahead and rub it in. :) That's EXACTLY the kind of place I envision as a summer home. :w00t:

The next time we will see 75 degrees for a high will be sometime in October.

Good evening Army.

Getting ready to fly out tomorrow morning to go to another baby shower with daughter's in-law side. Quick weekend jaunt. Fly out tomorrow and back home Monday.

Sitting in limbo at the moment. Waiting to hear back (should be this coming Wednesday) on whether it's a go for the HIPEC. This regime of chemo has failed.

If HIPEC is off the table, will be trying another chemo combo. Trying to stay positive.

Love you guys.

The wait is difficult and frustrating. We are all here for you. And we love you too.
