I pulled an idiot move. Cleaned the condenser on my AC units outside (house). I spray it with some caustic crap and let it foam up for ten minutes. Degreases it and cleans them real good. Only problem is I used a pressure washer to rinse it out and it flattened all the fins on it. Now my AC can't keep up. I should have known. I'm an idiot!! So I need to comb it out. They make special condenser combs for that sort of thing but they are kinda crap and don't work very well. I see people on you tube using a regular rat tail comb with those fine teeth on them. Cut them in 1.25 inch wide strips and grab the spine with a pair of vise grips then comb the fins. So I have to run out to the store and find some rat tail combs. I could kill myself.

OUChhhhhh!!! ummm dont use caustic type cleaners on coil/fin units ( unless it copper) sodium hydroxide ( caustic) will destroy aluminum in a hurry... I used to make hydrogen gas with Red Devil lye and aluminum foil and then make hydrogen "bombs" with it BHUHAHAHAHahahaaaaaa!!!!!

the A/C supply place will have the good ones... a bit pricey but they are professional grade.

pressure washer???? even when you look too hard at the fins they bend.... ;)

I've been a little sad today as well. It's been a year now and hardly a day goes by that I don't think about her.....

I’m so sorry, David. She was well-loved. Time goes by quickly but the pain of loss can go so slow.

there was this girl I was dating many years ago who was deathly afraid of roaches... one night I went to visit her at the Armory, she was doing "alarm failure duty" and was carrying a side arm ( 45 cal 1911)... as we walked down the hallway to the actual Armory, dozens of roaches were scurrying across the floor... she freaks out and pulls out the 45.... I calmed her down and asked how she is going to explain the missing/fired rounds at shift change.... :)
she eventually put the gun back into the holster and I "danced" my way down the hallway for her ;)

When I lived in Okinawa, I noted they had the biggest most beautiful butterflies, and the most horrendous huge bugs. The roaches there could fly and being of a loose Japanese persuasion, they enjoyed kamikaze bombing. I had a memorable episode with one of the buggers too. I was terrified, and grabbed the roach killer spray. We had several rounds in the living room. It was getting the upper hand, till I hit it square in the nose with the spray. At that point it was a sprint to the bathroom between me and it, a sprint that Usaine Bolt would have been proud of, and I got in there, slammed the door just in the nick of time. BANG! BANG! (That was the roach slamming against the door on the other side). I sat there like a quivering jello for the next 30 minutes till I dared stick the can nozzle out of a hairline crack in the door, followed thereafter by myself. :D

Hey, you’re human. You’ll fix it up. Try not to be too angry at the time you need to spend. These things happen. Usually I take it as a sign that I need to slow down.

Don’t forget the holy water and say a blessing over those AC units. ;)
Exactly right! And I know it. All I had on my mind was maximum clean and that's why I broke out the pressure washer. Was so fixated on that goal that I did not slow down enuf to think it through. Had I, it would have been obvious a pressure washer was the exact wrong tool to use. Now I pay the price. :(

I misspoke. I did not use a caustic cleaner. I used an alkaline cleaner (or whatever it said on the bottle but I know it wasn't caustic). I've seen caustic cleaners used when I was a kid and just used that as a general cleaning term. Yes, there is a big difference! :)

Good morning Army!

I put "caustic crap for AC" into the Duck Duck Go and it is amazing what comes up.

Yesterday was so hectic that I forgot it was Cassie's 1st birthday. I feel terrible for forgetting. David it seems our dogs were born on the same day and month, but not year of course. I wish it was another day. I didn't realize my major goof until this morning. I thought it was the 30th today, so I thought I had missed her birthday by TWO days. I have to go help my mom, so I doubt if Cassie's hair will get finished today. I will probably stop by and get her a little toy. Bella's birthday is not far behind. She will be 4. Time marches on, and sometimes it just flies by for sure.

Hmmmm not sure what I'm doing right but I have an idea that it is the work of a substance that can't be mentioned on here. I have been using a tiny bit each night before bed for a couple of months now. CEA was checked again yesterday and anothernice drop from 109.1 to 95.0! I'll take it :D

This drop and the previous drop was before this new chemo. :w00t:
