Yesterday was so hectic that I forgot it was Cassie's 1st birthday. I feel terrible for forgetting. David it seems our dogs were born on the same day and month, but not year of course. I wish it was another day. I didn't realize my major goof until this morning. I thought it was the 30th today, so I thought I had missed her birthday by TWO days. I have to go help my mom, so I doubt if Cassie's hair will get finished today. I will probably stop by and get her a little toy. Bella's birthday is not far behind. She will be 4. Time marches on, and sometimes it just flies by for sure.

Happy birthday to Cassie! :)

Hmmmm not sure what I'm doing right but I have an idea that it is the work of a substance that can't be mentioned on here. I have been using a tiny bit each night before bed for a couple of months now. CEA was checked again yesterday and anothernice drop from 109.1 to 95.0! I'll take it :D

This drop and the previous drop was before this new chemo. :w00t:

I can tell you why..... the cells get all mellowed out and say... " heyyyy dude lets just replicate later... " :)

Go on chemo and your CEA goes up. Stop the chemo and it goes down. Better get the ingredient list off that bottle next time.

AC is back up. Turns out the compressor wire to the capacitor came off the connector. Connector still on the capacitor but the wire came out of the sleeve. I'm sure it happened when I was disconnecting the fan wire to lift the lid. Shoddy job crimping that wire. Still had to straighten the fins either way. So everything is up and running. Couldn't go another nite without AC. I've become such a wimp these days.

A sign of a healthy AC is when you get a 17 - 20 degree drop between the air going into the return and what comes out of the register. I'm at 21 degrees.

also, the differential between outside air and inside air is limited to 40* max on a super tuned system.. :)
(e.g. ... 100 outside, 60 inside... usually its only 30* diff) I still believe the old R-22 was a better refridgerant.

but the name scared too many people... difluoromonochloromethane, yup 2 fluorines, a chlorine and some methane,
by them selves they are nasty... fluorine is a very reactive gas, and so is chlorine, and methane... it goes boom, but glued together they are "cool" ;)

another example... sodium chloride.. simple plain ole salt... we need it to live but if one were to eat sodium ( the metal) you would blow up... and if you breathed chlorine gas... you would die a nasty death...

dontcha just luv chemistry :)

Well I got Cassie a 2-3 dollar latex squeaky toy for her belated birthday present, this evening. It says DOGS RULE on it, and it is fitting for the little princess for sure. She loves it. Bella was jealous, so I let her play with it after Cassie had it. Cassie steals all the toys and puts them in a pile. She lays on or near the pile of toys, and chews on one of them. Bella wants one, but knows there will be trouble if she takes it by force. So she whines for me to get it for her. They are like having two year old siblings!

Good Morning Army. Five days off, for rest this time. Doctor on Monday, Dentist on Tuesday. A whole lot of old man naps in between.
Robin, you are an incredibly resilient woman. Hang in there !
My grilling techniques must have improved with this Weber charcoal grill because I've been grilling every night this week. Mamaw went shopping while I was at work and brought home two sirloin steaks and a pack of 10 boneless pork chops. Now if I could just do grilled vegetables as well ...

Have a Safe and Blessed Day, and a Great Weekend.

spray them with "Pam" ( I like the butter flavored stuff) and sprinkle some black pepper and a light touch of salt on the veggies.... also, if your grill has wide spaces and things fall into the cracks, find a bread cooling rack with fine mesh ( 1/4") to cook the veggies on... works great for asparagus :)
if you have a grill with an upper rack, put the veggies on somewhat early to get them tender, then at the end ( when meat is about done) drop the veggies onto the hot spot to get the grill marks. works with most "large" veggies... never managed to learn how to do peas... ;)
