I think I finally wore out my car.... went to start it this morning and a huge puff of blue smoke appeared... not good, burning oil... went down the street about 1/4 mile and it started missing really bad... and by the time I got back to the house... it was gasping...

Oh no, the magic smoke escaped?!?! It's hard as heck to get it back in.

Happy July 4th to everyone! I'm not going to be up to much for sure. Lots of downed trees and power outages this way. Luckily I didn't get that. We did get a very light amount of rain that didn't even wet the top of the ground. I found that out this morning when I got up. The humidity is going to be higher today. They say we may get a slight chance of rain this afternoon. I hope we do, because I know some people will do fireworks regardless. Yes, we did touch on that topic a bit last night. This is more of an update.

I don't imagine my day will be too busy here. I'm feeling a bit rough. I think an extended nap is on order for this afternoon.

Well the neighborhood here did not let the bone dry conditions stop them from their fireworks show. At least my neighbor is having the kids do the fireworks in the street. If my yard catches on fire, I am going to blow a gasket. There were MORE fireworks going off here than normal. I guess there are more kids here now than there used to be too. I had to put Bella in her crate. Cassie is barking at the fireworks frantically. She was asleep on my lap until the fireworks started, then she sprung to action. I forgot about diffusing the Lavender beforehand. But I have it cranked up right now, to calm both the dogs. I think Cassie was a bit nervous. I had to take her outside, and the neighbors timed it perfectly with some type of screaming banshee thing. So Cassie of course started barking at it like a maniac. I did take them out a few minutes after 8p. I had hoped neither would need to out until most of the fireworks were done. Well, the Lavender must be helping. It is a little quiet now. I guess they are putting a fire out, or they are getting ready for the next round. Hopefully they would have the common sense to get the water hose pulled out and ready. HA. Time will tell.
