Well the old dog had a bizarre situation last night. Maybe it was due to the fireworks, I don't know. He has never freaked out in the house before. When he was outside, I can't remember but he might've barked at them.

I finally got the dogs in the living room calmed down. (with the help of Lavender) So the old dog has a crate that has seen better days. The body of it is good, but the spring wore out, and that part broke a long time ago. He goes to bed early, and that is his wish. Well he broke out of the bottom part of the door that cannot be latched correctly. The dogs in here thought there was an intruder so they barked like crazy. So I thought maybe he wanted to go out badly, but he didn't whine. So I took him out, and he did nothing but sniff around. So I put him back to bed. A few minutes later he does the same thing. This time I had put a little stick in the hole, to keep him from pushing it open. He still busted through, and broke the stick in two. So I thought maybe he did need to go, and I didn't stay out there long enough. So I took him out again. He seemed like he thought it was time to go on a long stroll. Now this old dog cannot see very good, and I think he is mostly blind. I don't know what in the world he thought he was doing. Maybe the excitement from the other two wound him up. It seemed as if he was ready to take off to the wild blue yonder. He was definitely wanting to head on down the road. I have no idea where he thought he was going to go. When he decided to leave home, the fireworks had mostly died down. Maybe he was sleep walking, or maybe he is senile too. It was just plain weird is all I can say.

Hi army! Sorry haven’t stopped in for a while. Just wish life would slow down for a while. Since that’s not happening I’m sticking with caffeine and nicotine as the two major staples of my day lol.

Hope all are well! Smooches

Well it is 91 with a real feel of 100 deg F. Rain went around us again yesterday, sadly. Still a chance today, so we shall see.

The old dog busted out of his crate twice again last night. He acted his normal self yesterday, but last night his weirdness started up again. The first time he did it, it was loud. The other dogs barked, and the cat ran across my bare legs while I was sitting in my computer chair. She was running for cover. Needless to say I had to get the hydrogen peroxide out, and I wasn't a happy camper. This time I took the dog out after he broke out the first time. I debated that, and thought it would be a mistake. Less than 5 minutes later he did it again. Maybe the cooler weather at night made him want to go for a walk. I'm not walking out at night. Between the predators and the mosquitoes, it isn't safe. I have heard of dogs that go off like that, when they know their time is up. I guess I will have to wait and see.

High of 80 deg? You have got to be kidding me. That must be nice. Right now it isn't nearly as hot as it was this morning. It got all cloudy, and you could hear thunder. Well that is all we got. A few raindrops fell before lunch. It wouldn't wet a paper towel. Then it moved on again. At least the cloud cover cooled it down a bit. The rain is going west of me, and it looks like we may totally miss out on rain again. It seems to be going to places that already got a good rain. The river is very low as well. About the time I give up and go to the store, it will probably pour!

It's gonna be raining all day and that's why it's going down to 80. A one day reprieve. Meanwhile, we got boomers ready to shake our world here. Oh well, it's summer.
