Welp, back in again. It's baffling.
Looks like I have an UTI. This could be causing my latest bout with the intestinal cramping.

I had a banana yesterday after we got home from the hospital. Cramping started about an hour later but minor. Progressively got worse and then I vomited a lot in the middle of the night (still no sleep) and headed back to the ER. Pain was sooo intense. I threw up on/in the ER driveway, while being evaluated. I'm a flipping mess

Morphine in what is becoming the usual dosage of 3mg. I needed a second 3 mg before the pain finally went away. Here it is morning and again I'm feeling perfectly fine. Back to clear liquids and an antibiotic. Tomorrow may advance to full liquid and see how I do. Goal is to get me stable enough to get to the consultation.

Hospitals are the worst places to be. Really hope you get on the mend soon. Do you have a pouch? Have they talked about that? I’m well aware that no one wants one. I’m just trying to get myself caught up. Lots of love and prayers to you and the fam.

Robin, you have been through the mill and back. I am so sorry to hear about this latest episode. I am glad they are able to handle your pain. I didn't know an UTI could cause nausea like that. Morphine can also make you nauseous. I will continue the prayers for as long as you need them!

We are getting some much needed rain. We had a complete downpour. A whole days worth of rain in about 20 minutes though. It is rare that we get light rain anymore these days. Drought or downpours, very strange.

Well I am still trying to paint my daughter a picture for the baby's room. This will be completed hopefully today. It is overworked though, and not quite right. I'm going to save it when I'm done, and try to make a better one.

Evening...Yes just one. The piston was stuck and only pushing one side of the pad. Rigged a bit of plastic to keep the rain off for the most part. Been a light rain all day and looks to continue till early in the week. Getting the caliper on wasn't bad. Getting it to take fluid sucked. Had to bleed the other side for it to take. Did a test drive around the block and the brakes seem fine. Might be better if I bleed the fronts. But we'll see. Either way $110 for parts (and a few bruises for me) after I take the core back tomorrow is a lot better than what a shop would change. And it's one of the few things I can still do. (sort of).

I have to do a complete brake job on my 93 Dakota next Spring. I know I will need new drums and rotors. I have disc fronts and drum backs. I'll replace the wheel cylinders, pads and hardware too. Was wondering if I should replace the calipers. They're the originals. Haven't priced them yet. That might make a difference.

Update: They're only $26 ea. so I may as well change them out.

I've never had a caliper fail, but metal fatigue is a real thing.
Neither have I. But then I never had a 25 year old vehicle either. Have a friend here who got a BMW...maybe 8 years old. Calipers rusted out. He put new ones on....$400 for calipers. He did the work himself and rebuilt his own. Anything BMW related is expensive. I'm always a little hesitant to replace stuff wondering if the replacement parts are as good as the originals. I have to say Mopar made some high quality components in 1993. My Dodge reminds me all the time. So will parts from Advanced Auto be up to the challenge? One can never know for sure.

Good Morning Army. Congrats to kkay! "Granny Outback" will be giving the twins Camo 1st Christmas, watch and see !
Good Grief, Robin, I don't know how you stay so positive. Bless you, don't lose that positive spirit of yours !
I've been fighting off a virus this week, head and chest respiratory type junk. Vaping has been reduced, although I did pull out the P3/ Achilles combo this morning. Good cleaning later, trying a butter pecan ice cream concoction I thought up. Too much BP, not enough IC. Should just leave it all to Heather, she is the expert.
Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith make their debut for da Bears today. In Green Bay. Good Luck with that....

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

That made me laugh. I think they would rather play with a box and shiny ribbon this year. Yes, they do have outdoors type attire, and toys in their near future though. They will also have a good amount of matchbox cars. My son loved those things, and even slept with them. My girl would carry her doll and purse to the store. My son carried his favorite matchbox cars, in his little fists. This is such a cute age!
