Hospitals are the worst places to be. Really hope you get on the mend soon. Do you have a pouch? Have they talked about that? I’m well aware that no one wants one. I’m just trying to get myself caught up. Lots of love and prayers to you and the fam.

No colostomy bag. As cold as it has gotten here, I'm kinda happy to be stuck inside

Robin, you have been through the mill and back. I am so sorry to hear about this latest episode. I am glad they are able to handle your pain. I didn't know an UTI could cause nausea like that. Morphine can also make you nauseous. I will continue the prayers for as long as you need them!

Before they give me morphine, I get anti nausea meds. The vomiting was before the morphine. At least with that latest episode

Good grief, Robin! I'm sure you're getting tired of all these detours. Hang tough, young lady!

Hanging tough as best as I can.

Did full liquids today and so far so good. May be released tomorrow depending on how tonight goes.

I've turned on my phone hotspot for a minute so I could post on ECF and do this update.

The whole team that is helping me at this hospital are trying their darndest to get me to that consultation. They are phenomenal and I am so blessed and grateful.

Taking it day by day as best we can.

Love you guys!

Good Morning Army. Congrats to kkay! "Granny Outback" will be giving the twins Camo 1st Christmas, watch and see !
Good Grief, Robin, I don't know how you stay so positive. Bless you, don't lose that positive spirit of yours !
I've been fighting off a virus this week, head and chest respiratory type junk. vaping has been reduced, although I did pull out the P3/ Achilles combo this morning. Good cleaning later, trying a butter pecan ice cream concoction I thought up. Too much BP, not enough IC. Should just leave it all to Heather, she is the expert.
Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith make their debut for da Bears today. In Green Bay. Good Luck with that....

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

I’m glad you checked in! Keep an eye on that respiratory thing. I’m hearing that it turns ugly quickly for some folks. “Granny Outback” cracked me up too!

Spice tip of the day: Aleppo Pepper. Just do it!

I love spicy, but heard about how delicious Aleppo Pepper is and I had to try it. First up was a Yogurt Aleppo Garlic Lemon marinated chicken recipe. It was incredible. Then I decided to try my homemade pasta sauce with Aleppo instead of jalapeño. Less kick, but so tasty! It’s amazing with tomato.

No pics for these because I was too hungry and they were both too delicious to stop and take photos. :)

But... won't that dissolve plastic tanks? ;)

Not looking good at this point for evading that cane here in Wake Forest. 90% of the models are showing a direct hit on the outer banks and headed up I-40 straight for here. The vast majority of times we just get lots of rain and some 50 mph winds this far inland while anything to the immediate south and east of here gets the brunt of it. But every once in awhile we will get slammed as if we were right on the coast. 1954 Hazel. 1989 Hugo. 1996 Fran. Sustained hurricane winds and monsoon rains. Large wind damage to trees and homes, power outages for a month, mass flooding. Still time for the thing to go somewhere else but it's not good when you have 20 models very tight with one another and pointing right at the outer banks.

My favorite hurricane story: A guy who worked for me (Gary) and his family...Hurricane Fran 1996. Winds are 80mph sustained and 100mph gusts. Middle of the night. Trees snapping all over the place. Crap flying everywhere slamming into the house. Pounding rain. They forgot to bring in the dog. Poor Gary. When his wife remembered the dog was still outside she went into full panic mode. And knowing the wife, kids, and family pet outrank husbands, she made him go outside to find the dog. He dressed in heavy coats, put on his motorcycle helmet and goggles and started out the back door. He began to make his way through the maze of fallen trees and limbs getting smacked with flying debris from every angle. Falling over time and again...getting up determined to find the dog so his wife will let him back in the house. He finally got to the back of his property where the dog house was. He hangs on, looks inside and the dog was sound asleep.

Bronze, I did not realize it could get you at your place. Keep us updated. I said a prayer for you as well. There are other big storms following this one possibly. I certainly see an uptick in problematic weather. I can't help but believe that some of this is by design, and not a fluke. Sure we have bad weather all over. So many occasions though, tends to make me very suspicious.

It sure will. That’s why I only use my stainless steel dripper for this one. It’s not for the faint-hearted. But if you enjoy the sensation of the top of your head lifting off... then Aleppo Pepper is for you! ;)

I don't know how hot the Aleppo is. I might've tried that in the past. DavidO, maybe you are thinking of Ghost Peppers. I doubt if LA would use that. There is no way I would knowingly try one of those.

Aleppo is medium heat. A lot milder than jalapeño IMO. The slight spicy kick sneaks up after a few moments. It seems to have flavor like concentrated, savory tomato. It’s hard to describe.

And may Ghost Peppers never cross my lips or be anywhere near me!

I was going to ask you about this. My prayers for you are already begun. Gonna hunker down and wait it out, or take flight? I know I’d already be on the road so as not to get caught in evacuation traffic.

I just saw a map of states in the US that have had abnormal and severe flooding in 2018. Nearly every state! SMH

Yes, they can reach us. If it is a strong, fast moving cane headed at us we will get slammed. Like I say, it's happened only three times since 1954 but it does happen. Most of the canes that hit the Carolinas just dump a half foot of rain and maybe 40 - 50mph winds here while the coast gets ravaged. We dodge the worst of it the large majority of the time. But if a cane wants to trash us it can. This one has all the makings of one of those. Floyd dump a yard of rain just some 30 miles from here. We got like 10". Seems like we're on the good edge of bad as opposed to devastating.

Stats show that both canes and twisters are less the last 5 - 10 years versus normal. Twisters are way down. We just hear about them more because our population grows affecting more people and plus the wacko tree hugging press likes to play them up to make us believe there is global warming.
