Night temps, or daytime highs? We’ve been in the 70s in the daytime here, and close to 50’s at night. Locals are joking about needing their parkas and winter boots. I brought my winter boots but haven’t worn them more than a few times. Mostly in LA in the winter. Got surprisingly cold there sometimes.

Daytime...Nighttime down to mid 30s..

Still, if that lovely blond young lady is your daughter, it’s a great picture. And, wow, time has flown by.
Thank you! There are 55 pics to go thru. They are all stunning. I did mean to share it in general, just not during a storm. Yes, time just flew by!

Good morning all!

Been having some minor issues with my labs. One has a lump on her L wrist joint that the vet doesn’t know what it is, thinks it could be cancer and wants me to take her to a specialist. Without much tact she told me that he might want to do an amputation and that she could survive that quite well. I don’t really think she had enough information to go on to make such a statement, but I’ll take her in for a consultation.

The other lab is having some pain in his hind legs and back, I think he just overswam in the new pool. Waiting that out a few more days and giving him rest.

The 13 yo Shistszu is prancing around like the puppy of the group :)

The labs are 8 and I know they are getting older and entering into the age where issues pop up.

My lab is 12ish. He doesn't go to the vet regularly, none of our dogs do. We do a flea/tick pill as needed for sure tho. I started giving him a glucosamine/MSM supplement (from Costco) daily about 4-5 years ago. He has a few tumors, but we just aren't the type to put them through surgery, etc. He acts like a pup at times still, so I feel like he's relatively pain free. I know our days are numbered with him tho as lab life expectancy is 15ish.

Kal's bluetick hound had to go to the vet this week. He had a piece of grass in his upper eyelid. I've been medicating it 3 times a day. His cornea has some damage from it-so I feel terrible for not taking him sooner.

Sadie is beautiful! Senior pics are so much fun. My boys and Abbie really enjoyed theirs. I want to share pics but I'm going to have to figure that out again.

We have a Lab and have kept his weight down. Our vet said that he didn't worry as much about weight as about his "conformation". He says small waist. Early in our trips to the vet, I noted that the day was the mutt's birthday. He replied, "How nice, what did you get him, ten pounds?"

The one with the lump has me concerned, I can’t imagine I’d do anything surgical but I’d like to know what exactly it is. Haven’t made the appointment yet, as she seems to be just fine. Her arthritis med works wonders and it’s $10 for a 2 month supply from the vet. I can’t remember the name, but it is a script.

The big dopey boy lab seems to have recovered from his overswimming. Walking around just fine today. Finally, he was such a baby.

Senior pics were fun! My oldest refused to have them done so it’s my first and only go at them.

Power still out. No word when it will be back on. Sawing up limbs in neighbors driveway. He cant get cars out. Tree crap all over the place. Beautifully cool, humidless morning. Bright sunshine, dark blue sky. Havent seen this in six months.

Is that the neighbour with the generator? Or do you have one yourself (w/o enough fuel)? I forogt :)

Anyway. Good luck, hope power comes back on soon. Do you have any means to keep your vapes charged?

Well I see Sergio was going away from the US, and now it is heading back to us. I guess that is where our reports of bad weather coming is stemming from. Our night temps are going to be dropping down to the high 40's, which was an eye opener. So a u-turn happened with this hurricane, oddly. Heavy rain once again. Nothing to see here. o_O

I dont have a gen. I should but I dont. My one neighbor are elderly. Mid 70s. Retired. A bit of a charity case for me. I help em out with stuff. They had a big ole oak limb in their driveway so I sawed it up and got it out of their drive. The neighbor to my other side has a gen. My bedroom faces them so when I open the window I get something to listen to when I sleep.

Still no power. Still assessing with no time of starting or fixing.

A generator was nearly my first purchase after moving out in the sticks with no one but two mutts and a very lovely woman who, fortunately for me, chose me for life (evidently).
I got a medium sized one, a Honda E2000, very good purchase. I start it every month, run it a while and make a pot of coffee to put it through its paces.

She probably would have dumped you had you not gotten that gen. :)
