El is on the Treasure Coast. Not far from where Robin lived. They weren't affected much by the cane.

Not that I know of. My buddy's dad lives in Destin. They're about 50 miles west of where the thing hit land but they're OK. The west side is the better side to be on.I’m relieved. I thought we had someone here who was in the panhandle. I’m glad to be wrong.
And no one finds it odd that BK and Bronze think about being 4’ tall a lot of time?
It's been raining hard non stop for three hours here. Looks like it might start tailing off in about an hour. Tomorrow is 73 and no humidity. WooHoo!!It is cool and sunny here. I got my old bones under the truck and greased the drive shaft; then changed out some power steering fluid; then changed the oil. The cool weather gave me a burst of utterly irrational exuberance. Who knows how much money was saved today.
I didn't know they were still in NC. Well that is good, they don't have to spend more gas money to get there. Those Cajun Navy folks are heroes in my book. Today is a beautiful day here. More rain coming our way, and oh you know we need it. (pure sarcasm) I haven't heard Eleanor talk about the storm, and I think she is spared because of her location. I hope so anyway. It will effect the Carolinas and Georgia, and continue on with rain after that too.
Agreed. We need @EleanorR to check in and let us know she’s okay.
The rain tailed off and then the wind picked up and was blowin' like a mutha. Power is out. Limbs laying everywhere. Big ole oak came down at Mike n Lisa's house. Took out a corner of their garage. Mike is in FL. Made sure Lisa was OK. Tree is laying in front of their garage so cars are of no use.
Canes and tropical storms suck. They are depressing.
Hey y'all, reporting from Vero Beach FL. No hurricane stuff for us here, except a few cloudbursts on Wednesday.
I'm a little surprised it was such a nothing-burger for us, since Mike looked to be so HUGE (across). Oh well, thank God for that.
Thank God also that it is moving so quickly, so no more multi-day rain and flood events for the south-central Atlantic states!
sorry to hear this! Sounds like you’ll have plenty to do with that nice weather tomorrow. Glad the neighbors are ok.The rain tailed off and then the wind picked up and was blowin' like a mutha. I did not mean to add my picture to that post. Still not a very savvy poster![]()
