It was a little colder than that for me, for the start of the day. It did turn out to be a nice day. Then they started spraying again. Ruined the beautiful blue sky for sure. I took the plants back out on the porch. I am sure they appreciated more warmth and some actual sunshine for a change.

Bronze, I haven't heard that song in ages. ELO had some good songs in my opinion, back in the day.

Got the MIL coming Saturday for 10 days.

Walker, cane, shower handles, potty stool, etc. all ready to go. Check.
Flashlights in every room. Check
Hooked her bedroom TV up to a 100w/channel amplifier and Formula Six loudspeakers. Check.
Pick up rugs, clutter or trip hazards. Check.
Throw cat out of the house. Check. Don't have a cat but gonna throw him out anyway.
Practice cleaning up my language, biting my tongue, and finding sanctuary somewhere. Check.
Stock said sanctuary with liquor and sedatives. Check.
Remove revolver from house so I don't do anything stupid. Check.
Pay off cemetery plot just in case. Mine and hers. Check.

I'm ready. :)

A masterpiece post! I’ll even forgive your imaginary throwing out of your imaginary cat.

Remember to stock that sanctuary with all your vape stuff. If you have to go elsewhere and you’re spotted, bad things will happen. They always spot you. Trust me on this.

It looks good for avoiding peak holiday travel for me. Anyone who’s been on the 15 (the only route from Vegas to LA) knows why that’s a priority. One 3+ hr trip took nearly 10 hrs and it wasn’t even a holiday.

Neighbors downstsirs already have their outdoor Christmas decorations up. A bunch of reindeer with lights and such. Festive, but kinda early. o_O

@retic1959 - I thought of you when I heard about Sony implementing Chicago’s amusement tax today on PlayStation users. People are peeved! But I think you’re more on XBox. I forget.

@Bronze - Your old town is tax crazed. Bet that makes you happy not to be there.

Amusement tax! It’s nuts!

Yep. I think my favorite was "Lucky Man." :)

You don't want me to get started on taxes! I knew when they wanted to tax CO2 (carbon dioxide...what you exhale), we were up a proverbial creek. I could go on, but I will refrain for now.

Tax CO2?? Ya mean, tax plant food?? (Nuts!!!):mad:

The only use I have for my ps3 is as a bluray player . I use the pc for gaming and streaming . Chicago and Sony can shove their tax up their azzes as far as I'm concerned . It might give the M.O.R.O.N.S in New Orleans some ideas but that still won't affect me or BK .

Good Morning Army. Water, water everywhere. Falls Lake (near Raleigh) was near crest levels. Every little creek the roadway passed over was over it's banks. And they were orange from the soil and clay that was being washed away. But it's not supposed to rain today, thankfully. I can't walk across my own yard without sinking.
And Urlacher feels neglected, because we haven't played ball for several days now ....

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

Papaw, I hope you get time to dry out. I do know that feeling. The ground here is still wet, and we are getting another cold front coming. They started spraying very early today. Our rivers are flooding nearby, and I hear we may have a wet winter. Then comes spring, and we normally get a lot of rain then. During the summer when we needed rain, it baked with hardly any rain at all. I feel bad for California, they are in a very bad situation. I have read about what is going on there, and it is heartbreaking to say the least.

Chicago was a great city at one time. As corrupt as it was the Daley's did keep that city humming. They knew how their bread was buttered. As in many cities, the socialists took over and are running them into the ground.

Emerson Lake n Palmer?

Falls Lake is a mile out my back door. I .... up to state property that surrounds the lake. Fortunately it is a damned up lake so they never let it flood. Good thing because with all the rain we've had the last few months we'd be in trouble.
