You have elevated your status with the gate keeper, St. Pete.
I need it.

Early this morning her designated coffee maker didn't make coffee. She wants me to figure it out. I have never made a pot of coffee in my life...don't drink the stuff. One of those programmable ones too. Buttons, knobs, lights all over the thing. Need an IT certificate to figure it out. I can't get it going. She's even less happy than usual. An MIL with no coffee in her. Unimaginable! Half hour later I decide to see if the instructions are written anywhere. Lift lid, nope. Pull coffee pot out to see if they're on the back. Immediately knew something wasn't right. "Geez, what a cheap piece of :censored: this thing is." Doesn't weigh anything. Next thought (1 second later), "There's no water in this thing!"

Having found myself in a similar, profanity laced situation:
ManualsLib - Makes it easy to find manuals online!

As you deal with your beloved MIL, try to remember the story I posted about my own MIL. It may help your mood.

I guess I'm still trying to figure out what Firefox has to do with this when I already am using new DNS.
This isn't an issue specific to firefox or your DNS server . It's a security loophole that can be bad news aside from tracking , right now firefox is the only browser that can be configured to shut that crap down and close the loophole that we know of . Chrome users are SOL I guess . This issue bypasses VPN's and anti-tracking extensions , always some kinda crap hidden in the fine print these days . You have to read the article carefully when you have the time .

But you are in such excellent intelligent company.

being around yall doesnt make me smarter ( but I really enjoy the humor and insight) , but I am more well informed, and being informed kinda leads to better "informedness" .... but seriously....osmosis would really be advantagious ( cant spell worthapoop) now... to be able to suck the smartness out of all of yall to become better... imagine the potential... I would scare the BEJEEZus out of Hula ;)

geeeze.. work just called me to make another 500 mile run... ummm what DONT they understand about being up for 30 someodd hours????????????
I told them nope, no way, uhuhhh, I need at least 6 hrs of sleep.... well maybe 9 since Ive had a double shot of Rum... ;)

and lets really mess with your minds.... 0/0 is supposed to be a null, but what happens when you have 1X10 to the - infinity/ by 1X 10- infinity?? its the same number over itself ( ergo 1) so???? is 0/0 = to 1?

and neutron stars.... instead of massive amounts of neutrons bundled into a single package... what would happen if all the neutrons fused into a single massive neutron??? ( it can happen).... it would be shiney, dense, and very dangerous to get near.... wow? a mini black hole? what doya think?

Retic, thank you so much for this latest information. I don't just use Firefox, but I did manually change the DNS not long back. I really don't know which one is running the show right now. I used to use OpenDNS a long time ago. This is perturbing to no end for me on this kind of stuff. 5G will be worse. I'm not going to use it, but that doesn't mean it won't effect me anyway. I could easily go on a big time rant here, but I will refrain for now.

buy her a cheap Keurig, a couple of K-Cups and tell her to make it herself.

As I said , DNS and Firefox have nothing to do with this issue , the problem comes in when you access a server or website that uses this protocol . Changing DNS settings won't help you with this . The only fix so far is to run Firefox with those changes made to disable this garbage . Chrome based browsers are vulnerable with no solution known at the moment .
