Morning (& afternoon) friends! I baked sourdough baguettes, sourdough cheese garlic crackers, ate pork adobo (vinegary ginger garlic and bay leaf flavors) and enjoyed a peaceful day. Kids were in the pool and apparently freezing since they kept running to the hot tub to warm up.

And the two words of summer shouted over and over:

“Marco?!?”

“POLO!!!”

Then there's the residents in high holiday spirits who think 11 pm is a great time to get in the hot tub and talk REAL LOUD! Our community lock up of the pool at 11 pm is apparently failing.

And I'm just the old lady on the second floor peering through the blinds and wanting to shout...

Found an OEM carberator on Amazon for $38 so I took the risk and swapped it out. Works like a champ now. Actually, it wasn't much of a risk. After changing out the fuel lines there was realistically only one thing left to try...the carb. So for $44 I got it back running like a sewing machine again. Beats the hell out of spending $200+ on a new one. But damn, I'm cheap!

Another round of bad weather for here, again. Heavy rain, high wind, potential large hail and tornado. I can't say it makes my day. We are at the second highest rainfall ever for the year. (on record)

Oh Fran! I’m so sorry. This is not the news you or anyone wanted. My heart is going out to you. I will keep praying for your strength, comfort and all else you and your husband need.

Tree and decorations down and stored, laundry all day, got a run in this morning before the rain came. It has rained all afternoon and evening. Tried out my new air fryer, made some fried potatoes for the fam. Not bad, and I love that the mess is completely contained.

We had a great Christmas, but as always, I'm glad it's over.

Well, this is horrible news. Seemed like he was on the right track. That damn cancer! So sorry to hear this Fran. I hope they can at least comfort him and allow him to spend his last days as painlessly as possible. You hang in there, Fran. You’re gonna need to be strong.
