Took a couple pans of water to get my truck door open. It was frozen shut and no pushing or pulling was going to do it. Looks like the bolt broke flush which may or may not help. For now I'm letting it run to get thawed out. Got the hood up and I can see it from the kitchen window to keep a watch on it. No leaking at idle.
The temperature here dropped 22 degrees in the last 6 hours. It's snowing but not great amounts so I doubt we will get much snow, more cold than anything I imagine.

I used to have to boil a pot of water every morning in the winter and pour it over the fuel pump on my old 73 Chevy Impala to get it started.
I never yell, cuss, or throw things when I watch sports.

ummmm... so that was easier to do than replace the fuel pump??
I'm done with the bolt. There's no room for me to work on it. On top of that I fumbled the other bolt down by the motor and can't find it. 
But I happen to have two metric bolts the right size. So I've put it back on with one and going to test drive it to see if it leaks and how bad. Including a run on the freeway. I'm thinking a trip to the shop may be in order. I'm sure they are use to broken dealing with broken bolts. And If I said I haven't been looking at trucks on dealer websites I'd be lying..

When you're 20 years old and broke, yes. When you're not broke, no.ummmm... so that was easier to do than replace the fuel pump??
I wouldn't trust it. Like I say, the dealer has probably seen it a million times and has a fix (tool) for it.

I was referring to fumbling thingies that just disappear nowhere near where they're meant to go.
