Mamaw will not be coming home today.
Mamaw will not be coming home today.
Sorry for this...Mamaw will not be coming home today.
Mamaw will not be coming home today.
I know he likes commandeering her kitchen and taking extra old man naps when she's not around but that novelty will wear off quick. Pop needs some regimentation and direction and Mamaw gives it to him. He married up and he knows it.Not good, Papaw. I know you would like to have her with you.

Pneumonia is cruel and nasty.I don't do much in the kitchen (because then I would have to clean up the mess). Laundry done, bed stripped, disinfected and turned. It has been warm enough to open the windows in the afternoon and get some fresh air flowing though here. Tomorrow I start with a bucket and sponge, cleaning tables and counters. Maybe even mop up a little. Mamaw says she will need help around the house for a few days when she gets home, which now is looking more like Wednesday at the earliest.
Bacterial Pneumonia. Must be a bad way to get sick.
Curious what you decided. You’re pretty young, right? I would have said HSA. I have one and a minimal policy from work and it’s worked out really well.Soooo...patriots again. Haven’t rooted for them, but since the guy next to me at the bar was a pats fan - maybe the only one around here- I’m at least happy for him
Anyways. Gotta decide if ppo or hsa is a good option for me. Figured i would’ve figured it out after the weekend. I didn’t. Thinking hsa ain’t too bad. Gotta make my circles tomorrow... if only i knew
Vacuum cleaners. One of the few things you can say "This thing SUCKS" and be happy about it.So my latest project...
I have an Electrolux upright vacuum cleaner that is about 35 years old. No appliance I have ever owned has received more abuse than this vacuum cleaner. Anyone who is familiar with Electrolux vacuums back in the day know they were the Cadillacs of vacuum cleaners for many decades (can't speak for them now). They're were built like battleships and suck like there's no tomorrow. Well, not even Electrolux lasts forever. This thing has been thru war and back. The cord has three different splices in it from getting run over and cut up. The top of the canister has two large cracks and a hole in it the size of a half a moon pie. Plus there's a hinge on it that busted so the entire thing comes off instead of pivoting off and all the pieces fall out every time it comes off. Those pieces also are cracked. The handle at the top has three screws holding it together but the threads on the receiving end are busted off so I have a homemade metal clamp and an asparagus rubber band holding it together. But the thing just keeps going, and going, and going despite the abuse it has received. But now the end is near. The switch is starting to go on it. The brush cuts out on it intermittently and I have to wiggle the switch to get it to re-fire the brushes. It's happening more frequently...like several times each time I use it. One thing about switches, they sort of warn you before they die on you. This switch is about to take a permanent nap. Problem is it is near impossible to find parts...to the point where it is not an option anymore and certainly not economic. So after an extensive internet search, I happened to find the exact model on ebay. Upon inspection, everything is intact on it and it still runs great according to the seller. Now, I would never buy it on its own knowing I could never get parts for it. But I can use my jalopy for parts...at least the important parts like the motor, brush, and belt. I don't know what a new, comparable vacuum costs but I know it is a lot more than those cheap pieces of crap at Home Depot or Wally World. So I bought it. $105 delivered from California. And I'll bet anyone it will last longer (along with my spare parts) than any of the vacuums you can buy at Lowes.

That's quite impressive. I had to replace my Rainbow vac just a couple months ago. It was 15ish years old. I went cheaper tho and bought a shark. I don't miss taking the water from the Rainbow outside to dump it. But the shark is good, hard to vac the rugs because it tries to suck them up.. It won't last 15 years tho..So my latest project...
