Hey Lori, any news on whether HHV is gonna have a Valentine's Day sale?

Pretty sure there will be. I’ll have confirmation probably tomorrow. :)

I mistyped “tomorrow” on this silly glass tablet. Auto-correct changed it to “to Oreos.” Now I’m craving tea and Oreos.

And now inquiring minds need to know:

How do YOU eat your Oreos?

I kept them intact. No twisting the cookies to eat the cream first. Just a nice long dip in the beverage and quickly eat before the soggy part falls off. Especially with warm tea. Yum. Haven’t had Oreos in about 15 years.

I used to soak them in my glass of milk. It was always a challenge to soak them long enough to get soft but, as you say, not so long that they fall off into the glass or cup.

I don't need to be eating Oreos these days. But my wife buys the peanut butter flavored ones, and I will sneak a couple now and then.

Say BK, is it possible for a relay to be intermittent? Like a fuel pump relay? Or do relays either work or not work. Do they ever funk out and work 99.9% of the time and then weird out once in a great while?

yes, quite possible. the contacts can form arc points ( plazma burns) and not make a good contact, after several times of opening and closing, the contact points can "clean" themselves just enuf to operate...
had a toyota celica that had a funky relay for the AC clutch that drove me nuts for about 3 weeks... replaced the relay and it worked flawlesly. Took the old one apart to have a look see and noticed the points were "charred"... tested it with a multimeter before and after inspection and it was okay after operating the coil a dozen times or so...

When it happened, I’d fish out the pieces with a spoon. Then drink the Oreo flavored, black speckled milk. In my elementary school they had the best peanut butter cookies. Two in a wax paper wrapper for a nickel.

I always twisted the Oreo until the top cookie came off, then scraped out the yucky too-sweet filling, then enjoyed munching the yummy two cookies! :pervy:

You were a perfect match for those who only liked the yucky too sweet cream! The cookies were the best part. Didn’t even care that they left little black crumbs all over your teeth. And Bridget will cringe when she reads that. ;)

Just for the heck of it I pulled the fuel pump relay and tested it. Ran a 12 volt source on it (my drill battery) and it was clicking away just fine. Then while still powered I checked for resistance. Zero resistance. So that relay checks out fine. I also swapped out my AC clutch relay (same relay as my fuel pump). I turned the ignition far enough to listen for the fuel pump to engage. Odd with the original relay the fuel pump will engage two (maybe three) times in a row and then wont engage after that. Using the AC Clutch relay I can get several more successes before it stops. Not sure what that means and why would the fuel pump not engage every time I bumped the ignition?? Put everything back the way it was and now I get an OBD1 error code saying "An open or shorted condition detected in the A/C clutch relay circuit". Probably from when I pulled the relay off and bumped the ignition but now the error message wont go away. AC works fine though. Maybe it takes some time for that error code to disappear.

Pretty hard to fix something that aint broke.

I haven't had Oreos for a long time. I'd twist them, eat the top cookie solo and then the other half with the cream on it. A glass of milk in hand but no dunking, I did not like them soggy. It's strange - I remember the enjoyment of it but don't miss the cookies. Has vaping taken over so much that I don't want/need them any longer? That's better for my waistline so I'm not complaining.

Agreed! I feel the same way about cola. If you really think about it, that’s kind of a nasty flavor. Enjoyment of different vape flavors has greatly reduced my need for different snack & beverage flavors. So much better for the waistline! If only we could promote vapes as an aid to weight loss. :D

I ate my fair share of Oreos, lol! Like Pappy..dipped in milk. I haven't had either in many years but not because of my teeth!

They helped me give them up by coming out with Double Stuff versions. At first I loved them - then I got sick of them right quick. My nostalgic thoughts of them now is like @WhiteHighlights said: nostalgic about that enjoyment but not really for the cookie itself.

Don't remember where I discovered this. Maybe it was here. It's called Honey. It's an online coupon finder. Works on a lot of online stores like Amazon and many other places. You shop like normal and Honey will check for the best price and coupons, etc.. Great tool and you can save some decent bucks. It will also track price drops for you. It doesn't work in Firefox or Incognito mode on Chrome for some reason. So I use Chrome in regular mode.

I would get two cookies out of the package. I would take the top off of one and eat it, I would take the top off of the other and eat it and I would then eat my double stuffed (or quadruple stuffed as the case may be) Oreos as a single cookie.

YUM!

lol...

I've always played with my food. Do you want to hear how I used to eat pinwheels?

Those were an experiment in how to dissect them! hahaha.. I would pick the chocolate coating off and eat that first. Then I would remove the cookie part and eat that second and then I would eat the marshmallow last.. lol

They were the most fun..

Bronze... the fuel pump kicking on and off doesnt sound right. It should run constantly until "operating" fuel pressure has been obtained and then shut off ( this is while the engine is NOT running) there may be an issue with the fuel over pressure relief valve sticking open and dumping the fuel back into the tank and not into the injectors/throttle body OR the fuel pressure sensor going wacko...

and as far as it not running everytime the key is turned on... the fuel system maintained pressure to keep the pump off for a few minutes... eventually the system looses pressure and things become "normal"
if you have access to a fuel pressure meter, see if the fuel pressure is in specs....
