It's like this wall business. Nancy tells us it's immoral. Now, I don't think it is but I'm more than willing to be convinced otherwise. I will at least listen and consider her argument. But when she has voted for walls in the past and hasn't ever declared the existing walls are immoral (much less advocate for taking them down), then her credibility is shot to hell. It's isn't the immorality of a wall that concerns her. It's something else (like politics). And then those who don't want the wall join forces with her using the same argument. This is what Pop was talking about. Nothing is real anymore. People have ulterior motives so you can never have an argument/discussion about anything because there are two (or more) issues being debated and at least one of those issues is known to only one of the debaters. Again, you just scratch your head sometimes. Nothing makes sense.

And there you have hit on another core issue - the lack of truth. As we all know, it’s whatever is expedient, especially in politics. It’s not about ideas and convictions, it’s lying to advance whatever it is you want. In pretty much all cases, they just want to stay in power and grow in power. Money too, but that’s because money is power. Whether it’s a wall or the FDA and Surgeon General with their weird insanity, it’s extremely frustrating and discouraging.

Then I remember there is good in the world even with this mess.

My buddy, who turns 287 later this month, warned us in his farewell address that party politics would ruin our country because politicians would be more loyal to their party than their country. Once again the General was right and, sadly, is the only one who can fix our problems. He has so many times. Wish God gave him eternal life.

I could say a million things about what is going on in my view. Let's just say that there are some very powerful people who are evil to the core. They think they do not answer to anyone. I firmly believe prophecy is going to be fulfilled. When I was young, I didn't see how it could happen in my time. The chips are stacked against ordinary people, and it is getting worse. What Orwell imagined was not even a drop in the bucket, and I will leave it at that.

BK, my error code went away. But not cuz I tried. It went away on its own. Maybe the tune up I did had something to do with it. I took the ground cable off for safety. Who knows.

So new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, and fuel pump relay. If the truck craps out again I know it’s not that. Still think it’s a crank or cam sensor. We’ll see.

Yes! It is beyond harmful. It is profoundly insulting to the One Who is Truth.

Truth has been so devalued that I wonder sometimes whether many of us are even capable of bearing anything but false witness - if that makes sense. We are so accustomed to and given over to lying that we wouldn't recognize truth if it bit us in the ....! (Not that it would - just making a point.)

I like J's way of expressing it: "A liar isn't someone who lies all the time. It's someone who doesn't tell the truth all the time."

Evening....Well the rain stopped a few hours ago. But the flooding is happening. By morning it'll be in the 20s. But I know Spring is not far off because the potholes are in full bloom around here. Yep in the last few weeks I've lost count of the cars on the shoulder with flat tires. The smaller tires and low profile tires suffer the most.

People have ulterior motives so you can never have an argument/discussion about anything because there are two (or more) issues being debated and at least one of those issues is known to only one of the debaters.

I remember being able to have all these exchange of ideas discussions.. I could wax philosophical and even strangers would join in and together we would learn from one another and grow as people..

Now that's all gone. Now it's hate hate and more hate, and you can feel that it's no longer a discussion or anything coming from a positive place. They just want to tell you how it is and if you don't agree or have another idea you become some evil monster.

I don't like what has happened to people anymore. Sometimes it's downright frightening because this is our society and it's not good now.

Sounds like ice in the morning. Not a great situation. Be careful out there! I don’t miss blooming potholes. I guess we don’t get enough freezing nights for long stretches to do that to these roads. I always thought potholes were from the freezing of moisture (rain or snow) — because of how ice expands then melts and that’s what breaks up the asphalt.

I know PA had a bad reputation for the state of their roads thanks to low quality asphalt. They used to “re-pave” back roads near my house by laying down oil, then dumping stone chards on the oil. Vehicles driving on it would break up the chards and over time that would mash them down into paving. It was awful. Your undercarriage got pummeled by flying pieces of stone. They’d put up a yellow warning sign: “CAUTION: Fresh Oil and Chips.” Sounds more like bad diner food than road maintenance.

the people I work for are nutz... and this is the story as to why....

Monday wake up at 5am, wait for calls, no calls, do the 2 pm and 7 pm run, get home for 11pm, ( 400 miles for Monday) get to bed around 2am Tues morning, get called 5:30am Tues for a 7am run...
( yup almost 4 hrs of sleep).
Tues 6am on the way for 7am pickup, get back home for 4pm, (525 miles) catch a nap before dinner, get called at 8pm to make another 10hr run ( another 525 miler) ( had only been home for 4 hrs), told the dispatcher "nope, cant do too tired"
dispatcher becomes angry and decides to tell me how "bad" of a worker I am... I replied to the dispatcher that they need to check previous run history ( last 24 hrs) before presuming that we are good to go...
he thought he had hung up the phone and decided to go on a rant about how lazy drivers are....
I called him back about 15 minutes later and told him to be sure the phone is hung up properly before starting any conversations of such a nature...
amazing how appologitic people can be when BUSTED

Good morning. I could use some help from legal eagles..

I received an email from VTA this morning and it was a state status of vaping update. My state was included but in a negative light.

Now of course I hadn't heard of this bill but with all the scandals going on in my state lately it's little wonder as we've heard little else, but this here was the update:

• Virginia - H.B. 26, which requires licensure of vapor manufacturers, distributors and retailers and bans internet sales is scheduled for a hearing in House Human Services on 2/14.

The whole bans internet sales is a big one so I definitely wanted to look it up and find out more of what was going on, so I can write the appropriate emails to the appropriate individuals to make sure someone hears their constituents voice, mine anyway.

However, I can't find this bill. I can't find any reference to this ban or anything.

So, can anyone help me find this in some official capacity from a government site so I can figure it all out?

I'm getting ready to call this fake news, but I wouldn't expect that from this group, I just can't find this proposal though. .

Yeah I know..

I have even used a bill tracking website where you can search for similar bills. I found a state with a proposal for the same, yet running a search for similar bills came up empty for my state.

I have literally looked in every possible way I can think of to look and can't find anything.

The closest I've found is a proposal in state Senate to raise the legal age to 21.. but that's nothing to do with any kind of restriction on internet sales..

So I'm lost. I'm really about to say I'm either misunderstanding that paragraph, or it's a lie..
