Good Evening Army. Came home and died. I think I laid down around 3:30, just woke up around thirty minutes ago. But it felt good. And I will probably lie back down soon.

just got home from a 25 hr work day.... ( think I need to get a CDL and not be abused )

I usually dont do a whole lot of driving at 5-6 am but my gahwd... these "morning" people are frikkin nuts...

ohh and by the way...

gonna do my 12-5 run and take the rest of the day off...

I did 24 hours Wednesday into Thursday. Came home and slept for 4 hours and then worked for 7 more. Been a brutal on call so far.

Great pic! I see that was before you discovered Honey Do. By the time of my first order in 2014 they had the next round of labels. Still had those pink caps though. Everyone thought that was because it was Heather’s favorite color, but it isn’t. Those caps did distinguish HHV though.

Good Morning Army. A couple of Heat / AC reps coming over today to examine and give free estimates. That 20 year old York Gas Pack outside the house is becoming a concern. Probably just going to bite the bullet and go with a Trane or a Lenox. Hopefully it will be the last one I buy, so get a good one.

Mine died several years ago... went with window units. when the central A/C unit was working, my electricity bills during the summer were in the 300-400$ range. With the window units installed ( 3 of them) the electricity bills are now running 65-95$ ( winter- summer) on average.... altho I might see a 120$ one this next billing cycle. Its been rather warm down here the last couple of weeks and one unit has been running non-stop.

Stuff is a lot more efficient now. Last year we replaced our 23 year old furnace and 21 year old ac. With the new units I can now set the thermostat to where it's actually comfortable in the house and all the bills went down.

my neighbor has a Trane multispeed compressor with all sorts of bells and whistles... he sed it was like starting up a fighter jet with all of the options and such... the thermostat can be controlled by his phone and computer ( via wifi) has all sorts of energy saving options, like times on times off, temp shifts for day/nite, week day settings and weekend settings, humidity control, UV sterilizers and Ozone generators etc....

I guess I like a simple life.... show me the power button and where they hide the filter....

I’m hanging in there. Pretty darn miserable with side effects. Well on my way to bald, I’ll get a few comfortable hours here and there, but overall this is pure awful.

However... my girls are so sweet and taking such good care of me. I also lined up friends to stop by everyday (told them just to come over and not give me a choice), gets me out of my misery and into theirs which helps a ton. Spending a lot of time in prayer and meditation in my back yard and I find so much peace in that.

Have a great weekend everyone. I’m planning to see Rocketman today with the girls. Heard it’s good and I love Elton John.

However... my girls are so sweet and taking such good care of me. I also lined up friends to stop by everyday (told them just to come over and not give me a choice), gets me out of my misery and into theirs which helps a ton. Spending a lot of time in prayer and meditation in my back yard and I find so much peace in that.

The girls probably didn't really have a feel for just how rough chemo is until they saw their mom get zapped. Probably shook them up a bit and made them realize they get only one mom in their life. It's probably making them grow up a little too.

April, it was smart to tell your friends to come on over so you cannot back out of it. I am glad your girls are there for you as well. I am so sorry that you are still ill feeling and losing hair. Times like these show you who truly loves you, and who you can count on.

So good to have so much loving support! You’re doing well in a rotten situation.

A few years back I was at Musikfest in Bethlehem where my second oldest was performing. Found out that just up an open staircase next to where she played, Sir Elton was giving an invitation-only VIP performance. All I had to do was sneak up those stairs for a peek. I was a huge fan of his early work. I chickened out though! Still, it was cool to know he was nearby. Now I live in a town where big name celebs perform all the time and it’s just meh.
