welllll.... looks like the Government has more time to collect more taxes.. no one won the Powerball 
Its sitting at over 500 million now, Fed tax is 37%, State tax is 25% ( for La.) ummm 62% total ... thats about 341 million in taxes which leaves the winner approximately 160 million.... no wonder why the states are desiring the winner to be in their state. Im betting the quick pick could be rigged to choose a set of numbers within a specified range which are statistically low chances to be randomly drawn.... for example, the guys at work bought 20 quick picks ( group buy) and the powerball number should have been a broad blend from 1-26... the odd thing was that out of 20 tickets the powerball numbers were 11 (4X), 20 (9X), and 22 (7X).... makes ya wonder....

We have a 46" Philips LED and from Mom In Law a Samsung 42" LED transferred to the guest room. Both are getting up there in age and probably will get replaced with radios or something when they go. I watch more movies and videos on this 27" iMac than the TV (Thai TV sucks) - Mama Chak watches for about half an hour before she conks out.
The Chinese have making bacon (or what I call Chinese bacon) down to a science! salted Pork sliced paper thin and fried crispy. Imagine eating a strip of bacon 9" by 7" more like sheets of bacon. Their seasoning is a little different, but close enough in my book to call it bacon flavor. I'll have to Google how they slice it so thin and still have it keep it's shape. Eating a bowlful of it as I type. goes great with beer that I can't have for a couple more days. 
200,000 / 1 resolution w/ 1080i input 55" smart TV for $500 is more than I need. I can't even see how sharp the picture actually Is until I get up off of the couch and move closer to it.

Morning army. A week or so before Christmas our $500 LED Samsung TV died, it was only 2-3 yrs old. $540 to fix, $500 for brand new bigger one.

There is a point at which a TV screen is too large. And that depends on how far away you are from it. A 55" screen from 10 feet away actually requires you to scan the screen to get 100% of what is on it because the outer edges are too far into your peripheral. And there isn't enough time to scan it before it goes away and new images are on the screen. Yu just lost content because you never saw it. A 32 - 42" screen 10 feet away allows you to see the entire screen without scanning it. Many studies done on this. I'll repeat, watch a movie in the theater from the front row and you'll know what I am talking about. Or, watch two people play ping pong while sitting right next to the table (as opposed from afar). Watch your head go back and forth, back and forth and never really see all of it. While it sounds good to say, "I got a 55" TV" the fact is it is not an optimal size in most living rooms unless you're Tim Taylor.

I want a 90" TV and a 200 Watt surround sound in a 6' X 8' room. That is my definition of optimal

I also like Samsung products. I prefer American, but those days are over. Welcome to the new world.
My son is out with his dad for a while. I am trying to catch up on the forums, and news etc... My dog loves my son, because he will play with her, and rough house. He went running yesterday morning early. I said be sure to take her with you. He did. He said she didn't last that long, and she wanted to take more breaks. Towards the end she kept taking "pee breaks"...lol. She slept like a baby last night. What a relief. I also tossed the ball for her a while. She was content!

I have a 7.1 (use 5.1) surround sound system with JBL speakers that will blow the paint off the walls. Also hooked up two B.I.C. Venturi IV loudspeakers I use for music. I bought them in 1977 and had them rebuilt with the finest speakers money can buy. 12" woof, Swiss midrange, 2 tweeters, 2 super high frequency speakers per loudspeaker. You can hear everything recorded including a mouse farting from the parking lot of the recording studio. I'm with you on the sound. Love me optimal sound.
Me too! I have a JBL speaker set but nowhere near as good as yours. Mouse fart in the parking lot! Ha!

Agreed. Mine are from the early 90's. 2 woofers, 2 tweeters. A couple of years ago I bought a Harman Kardon receiver MINUS the digital sound effects. Just sweet, clean tone. Not easy to find, but worth it for a sound purist.
