Latest irritating thing Apple has done: They did not include a charger with their iPhone 12 that I just bought. Additionally, they went to a USB-C plug on the enclosed charging cable. So 1, you need to either buy a charger for $19 from Apple (or more affordably from a third party source), or 2, buy an adapter so your old chargers (if you have one) can accommodate the new USB-C style port on your charging cable.
That's bad enough. But the more irritating thing about this is Apple says (on their advertising) that they did not include a charger in the iPhone 12's because they are being environmentally responsible. One, less chargers in the world, two, smaller packaging. Bull feathers!! Now you have to go out and buy another charger (or adapter) because you need the USB-C type. Also, that will have its own packaging plus any packaging used to ship the product. You are actually generating MORE packaging by not including a charger with the iPhone.
So the obvious question is, why did they REALLY stop putting chargers with their new iPhones? The answer is equally obvious. $$!
But before you swear off Apple, the rest of the phone makers have followed suit and are doing the same thing.
But (again) the saddest part of all this? The average person believes their environmental wokecrap. They soak you for more money while coming out looking like the good guy.
Many people have USB-C ports on their laptops. You’re supposed to use that or buy a laptop that has it. Or buy a wireless charging pad that you just set the phone on to charge it.
They have done this repeatedly with cables. And no more wired headphone jacks. Go wireless! It might cause brain cancer but the environment must be saved.
Apple decided when to retire CD/DVD drives and Ethernet ports in laptops. They reduced hard drive capacity to move us all to the cloud. They are in charge. Just take your medicine and shaddup, will ya?!?
