We have a persimmon tree and it’s harvest time. The squirrel has taken 30% of the yield already. Maybe more than one squirel, but we only see the same big guy here since spring. We hear a Great Horned Owl almost every night, but he has yet to rid us of this menace.
We left some persimmons on the ground for the little jerk. The nicest ripe ones were in trays near the house ready to distribute among friends who love them.
Yesterday I see the squirrel make a beeline for the trays of the best persimmons. Before I could stop him, he made off with a nice big one. I am not a fan!
