I smoked the better part of two packs for over 40 years, and had no idea of what strength nicotine to buy at the vape shop when I started. The little gal there was very sweet, but probably didn't really know what she was doing, lol. But I didn't either, so I took her recommendation and started with 12 mg. It kept me from smoking for several days, and I didn't really have what I would call a craving, but just that vague, anxious, something's missing feeling.

I went back and got some 18 mg which worked so much better in a matter of a few hours. So keep in mind you might have to experiment with different strengths to find what works for you.

I started at 18, but had that same feeling. It felt like air to me, but I didn't give up on it. I got 24mg juice, and it was strong. It gave me that too much nicotine feeling that I got after smoking 2 cigarettes back to back. I stayed on that for about 2 months, then stepped down to 18. Once I got my first RBA (RSST), I cut down to 12 as the throat hit was too harsh. When I got my russian 91% and was doing micro coils I stepped down to 6mg and have been there since. I don't have any plans to ever go 0 nic, or stop vaping,. I'm at 6mg and happy there.

I smoked for about 30years and had my last analog the day after I bought my first disposable ecig. I was smoking and vaping at the same time because my first was 0nic. Instead of buying another pack I got a better ecig and there was no turning back! :)

I was "only" a smoker for 4 years. But I had a terrible habit of chain smoking; the end of one cigarette only meant the beginning of another. Fortunately I found out about e-cigs before things went too far. All of the coughing, along with some of the disgusting stuff I'd hack up was unbearable. I coughed quite a bit for the first month or so when going through some devices to see what worked for me.

I'm just glad I reached a point where I was happy with something and decided to settle on it, at least until its popularity dies down and vendors stop selling it.

I smoked for 18 years, but there was a three year term in there where I had quit before. (Minus the very rare cigar, clove, or pipe bowl, because I do enjoy pleasure tobaccos too)

I had my last Camel while waiting for my first battery charge. 5 hour difference between the two. I'm now at the beginning of day 6.
It's been a challenge, but not an impassable one. Mornings suck still.

Hell, I've spent the last three hours glued to my new EVOD and grinding my teeth while thinking. "I know there's an ashtray in the basement I haven't dumped yet." But I'm a (bleep) fighter.
