I don't vape where I wouldn't smoke.
When I am out in public, I definitely get a lot of looks and questions. Mostly when I'm smoking with my black XL battery and the blue LED! I feel like people think I'm smoking a crack pipe or something!!! I think we need to help people be more educated about PV's. The more people see it and know about it, the less weird stares we'll receive.

If you want to go crazy needing a puff and can't because of your own rules then I just don't feel sorry for you. Ha!
You'll probably get over it, as soon as you figure out that you're the one who really knows it's ok, what you're doing, and don't mind if others notice. vaping is just about you. And your health. You made a personal committment to dump cigarettes? Go with that. That's huge! And as far as I know, vaping isn't illegal yet, and nicotine doesn't kill, smoke does.
I was shy about it at first too, until I realized I wanted to let others know how sweet this was working~People will and do give you creds for that.
Imagine how I felt when the mini skirt first came out. It was awful. My Mom said so. Shameful. Pretty soon we were all wearing them!!
New things are always hard for some to adjust to but they will.

North Carolina recently banned smoking in all establishments. I'll continue to vape in smoking sections.

I wish we still had smoking sections in new jersey, they even added electronic cigarettes to the smoking ban so I can't vape in public. I still vape in the movies though. I just make sure to bring a box mod with no leds and hold the vapor in longer so its less visible when I exhale.

I just hate answering the same questions from random ppl when I vape in public.

i know what you mean youth.. i mean im not bothering anyone and or my vapor does no harm.. but i guess its the uneducated non Pv smokers(vapers), that has interest in what we all are inhaling or maybe its just some of the laws each state has.. here in hawaii its a no smoking policy 20ft from any overhang. when i did smoke , i remember a time when i was under a parking lot structure and the security told me that cant smoke, i just tripped because of all the exhaust he breathes in everyday and he complains about a cigarette... some people just dont have a clue!

i almost flaunt it myself - I always hated the "smoke free" places cause i'd always have to go outside. now i don't even worry about it, grocery stores, etc, i just don't exhale huge clouds in these places, maybe let out just a little bit so they can see the vapor but not spraying clouds of it into the air....often...lol. I'd b glad to answer questions about it if someone would even come up and ask. but I love the fact that i can use it in a lot of places i couldn't smoke. and anywhere i can't simply won't get my business.

I have only been vaping for about a month and when my wife and I go for walks I pretty much vape the entire time and I do get a lot of stares from people in the neighborhood that probably think I smoking something illegal, but that doesn't bother me. In bar settings I get a ton of questions and odd stares but I usually explain everything and I have converted two people and interested two others that don't even smoke.

I'm with you on that. I see no reason to confine myself to smoking areas. I mean, if some store manager or security guard insists that I refrain from vaping even after I explain I am not smoking, I will certainly comply. But so far that has not happened.

My PV gives off much less smell than a person wearing cologne or perfume. Does anyone kick them out?

I've convinced almost 3 people to start vaping. I vape when I walk down the street, but I cup it in my hand. Also had a cute waitress ask me about it when I was sitting outside, and she seemed interested since she had heard of them before. I was with my girlfriend though so I made sure I didn't talk too long

I try to stealth vape in my car which is difficult because I have a big honkin' PINK Riva. LOL....so far only one person has questioned me and he said "is that one of those electric cigarette things?" I took it as an educational opportunity. My concern is getting into a tangle with law enforcement over what it is...I'm sure none of our officers here are familiar with PV's and would probably take me straight to jail without passing go if they saw me with it in the car or in public. It would almost be worth it because I would cause a stink like no ones business....and I could educate the entire county in one fell swoop with headlines like "Middle aged woman wrongly arrested for vaping while driving sues county, wins $5 million."

I didn't mean to sound like a grumpy guss Brad. I'm always all for telling ppl how good it is to vape and explain it to them. It just seems like when I'm at school i always get those crazy questions or they ask questions for 30mins and when i tell them how much they go "oh nevermind I don't have the money for that :censored: so it gets frustrating at times.

Youthful - those kids that are asking are just crying to be educated, aren't they? On a couple of fronts (but this isn't the forum for that...) Anyway, I think it's great that you are at least trying to help them if they are smoking analogs as well. When one of my young employees quit smoking (I didn't know it) and I saw her pull out her e-cig when she got into her car to drive home. When I asked her about it, she laughed and told me about the e-cig. As her boss, I was relieved! Hopefully you will continue to be a good influence on those who ask you ~they will be SO much more influenced to change their behaviors by someone close to their age!

But there is a distinctive smell from the vapor, and the emission is mostly not water vapor but PV or VG plus some nicotine.
Have to question your intent here? Please explain this statement, for all I know the nic gets cooked by the atty. Do you have evidence that we are exhaling nicotine?

It's hard for me to help because I have never been shy. I love talking to people all kinds of people. So for me it's a blast I always show people how it works and what it does. It's a great way to meet people and talk with them. I found that most people are just curious they haven't seen one and wonder what is going on, you can use that to open up to people or if that is really too hard, which I would understand, then I would suggest stealth vaping.

I bring along an extra tip so people can try it out. I have let at least a hundred people try mine that way and many of them are now picking up kits of their own.

Good Luck and Happy Vaping.

+1, i am and feel the exact same way mate :):)

Well, realistically, there must be trace amounts of nicotine exhaled, but not enough to have any effect on other people.
