ainako, I am quite sure Imeo will make it right with you. It is the way he is ;)

I never had a issue with making coils with my other perfect working iatty. I'm just glad I have a working iatty. It would be nice to have 2 working iattys since I paid for 2 and paid for an extra set of plastics. But half full I guess =/

i believe that you can put wires on a table, put them inside the crimp bead and hit with a hammer. I also think that there is no problem if wires stick a little out of the crimp.

a sticky thread for Iatty tricks is not a bad idea repent

Yes because what happens is the tricks and vids, etc for making different coil types gets lost within all the banter surrounding it. That's not to say the banter is bad, but a closed sticky where the mods can place the assorted "How-To's" would be great.

A case in point, I want to try the wick on top of the coil method. Have no idea where I read that procedure last.

Ok I have put 2 O Rings on the the centre Pos post at the bottom inside the metal base, if that makes sense, they need to seal the post and base, I tightened till I could feel the give of the O Ring and tightened it right up, so I knew I had a seal why 2? cause thats the sizes I had to hand, 1 micro and one similar to the mouthpiece O Ring.
Then I put a micro O Ring on the centre plastic post where the shorter wire is wrapped, it was so small and really had to be stretched,I can hardy see it now its on, then did the coil and wick fitting as normal.
I might find I have E juice pooling in the space between the base and the centre pin, if I do I will add another O Ring where the longer wire is held.
No leaks outside the Iatty so far :vapor:
Day 2, no leaks at all since putting in the O Rings. Stripped the Iatty down to change the wick and no fluid pooled in the base where centre post goes. Last problem to sort is a very slight gurgle on the first draw then its quiet, using it on my GGTS using the air control ring, so maybe a success at last

If you could possibly give the sizes of the o-rings that would be great, although I would much rather have a plug and play device. This seems much like a better option for me than to spend the money, and the wait of return, to ship my iatty back to imeo. I'm still suspecting the steel connector in the lower plastic being to long and protruding slightly at the bottom is preventing a proper seal in that area, thus causing leaks. As I already replaced both plastics and the new top plastic works great when I switch it out with my working one. Great find eyebrook and thanks for sharing with the family!

Hi ainako, its 12.55 here in Spain and nearly bedtime lol, will measure O Rings I used tomorrow Am and post them for you, I think slight gurgle on first draw was down to the coil, 2.6 ohms and a 18650 at 3.7 volts, on my Buzz at 4.2 volts no gurgle, but I will post O Ring sizes when I get up.
My metal protrudes, a little as well but I thought that was for contact with the NR wire, will post later today (sigh ) just kidding :vapor:

Morning Folks The small O Ring is 3mm by 1mm, I put this on the plastic threaded post where the short wire goes, its a stretch to get on and it looks like a part of the post once you get it on, its that thin it wont interfere with the wire and I can tighten right up.
The large O Ring 4mm by 1.5mm and a small one 3mm by 1mm go on the centre metal post, the little one first and the larger last, the larger seals the Gap between the metal(positive)post and the metal base.
Tighten the plastic bit where the longer wire has been put into the metal base and you can feel the O Ring give as you tighten down. I hope you can understand this lol.
The O Ring sizes are not critical as long as they allow everything to be sealed without stopping everything screwing together properly. Good Luck

Hi the small o ring goes on the threaded plastic post which is below where the ceramic cup is, when you put the short wire and wrap it it will slide of the O ring and when you tighten up you will have wire to metal contact, and because the o ring is stretched so much you can fully tight.

The Big and small O Ring I put on the centre post after the long wire was placed and all was tightened up and before putting the assembly into and screwing on to the base.
In short where you have a post plastic or metal put an O ring lol.
Is it 3 or 4 days now and not a drip, as I said I even unwrapped the coil to put a new wick in, and its dry.
I just used O Rings I had lying around, the small one on the plastic post is really stretched so it cant really be seen, well not with these old eyes, Im treating that one as a consumable its that tight.
You must make sure the metal centre post still protrudes the same amount as before, and when you tighten the metal base you feel the O ring Give. Good Luck
