IF there's a ban, would ECF stay?

Very true Buzzkill, based on the FDA's actions though, even the hardware is a 'drug delivery device' in their eyes and thus must be stopped. However, as every substance that has been, or currently is, illegal has proven, the black market will always be alive and well.

Yup. The words 'prohibition' and 'idiotic' spring to mind.

I'm not so much concerned about having to 'go black' to get my vaping gear, as the fact that millions of people may never get the chance I got to quit smoking. Suppose for a minute, the ban was already in place 6 months ago and e-cigs couldn't be imported legally. I'd still be killing myself smoking. (Well, maybe not. I'm in europe, so I'd probably still have access to e-cigs, but that's not the point).

As I keep saying every chance I get, if the FDA bans e-cigs, other regulatory bodies will point to the FDA decision, and do the same. That's why, american or not, it's up to all of us to get involved in this fight and carry it as far as we can. An FDA ban is the thin end of the wedge for everyone. Once they get their foot in the door and ban e-cigs in the states, it won't take long to hit europe too.

All I can say is that we will still sell the hardware , I will call it whatever is needed to get around whatever ban they want , it becomes a word game , I will call it a WATER VAPORIZER if need be , hell are they gonna outlaw WATER now ???? or an aroma therapy device or ???

If their was a ban, we'd all be so busy looking for supplies (hardware & juice), that I doubt we'd have much time for ECF.

I did that yesterday, thanks to this thread as well. This forum has been incredibly invaluable in helping me on the road to quitting after 30 years (and it's actually my very first time even trying to quit)! Definitely a small price to pay for the savings in my health and cost of analogs!!

I strongly doubt that this forum would vanish. It might change hands but I'm sure someone would be willing to take it over.

There are all kinds of forums dedicated to drug use, even when some of those drugs are illegal. There's a bajillion ........-centric forums that do a lot of the same things we do: Review and show off new hardware, discuss cultivars, et cetera. Discussion of an illegal hobby generally isn't illegal itself.

I'm curious, do Canadians vape? There's a ban in Canada. How do they do it? I'm seriously asking as I don't know.

I think with donations, and if the amount of traffic remains the same on this site, after a (God forbid) ban, revenue could come from other types of advertising. This is a community that in the face of a ban I think would be able to legally discuss how to fix and modify or even create a PV and discuss other DIY creations. No one here wants to go back to analogs. We need each other.
