I would love to do MTL as this would closely mimic smoking.

So how would one kick back without coughing or should I just keep the vapour in my mouth and exhale through nose
Habe you tried salts? They are smooth even at the 30mg I have been using. I struggled with staying off the smokes for a good part of the time I have been vaping. I atarted using 30mg in pods and for the first time I have been completely satisfied by vaping. The nicotine hits your system hard and fast.

I have now started at Midnight Last Night. And have been cig free for over 17 hours.

I should not cadge one off mother nor should I smoke today nor in the morning, If I do I run the risk of smoking more than Vaping.

Instead of stressing over being smoke free try a different routine that may reduce smoking in a less focused way. What helped me was after just taking a couple puffs from a cig I would put it out and pickup the vape. If that is easier and less stressful I would suggest trying WTA.

If cold turkey doesn't work for you, maybe consider dual using for a while.

What worked for me was to limit my daily cigarettes to just four per day. I vaped as much as I wanted, and when I got a cig craving I vaped even more. If that didn't cut it, I allowed myself half of a cigarette and put it out. I repeated the above routine, and if I needed a cigarette again I smoked the second half of the first.

It didn't take long for the cigarettes to taste real funky, especially the half-smoked ones. After a few days I began to prefer my vape over the cigs and didn't really want any more tobacco.

Change the brand of cigarettes you keep around. If you smoke non-menthol, get menthol flavored. Or vice versa. Don't keep your favorite brand of cigarettes around.

Why do you think you keep on deciding to pick up a cigarette instead of your vape? What do you think it is about smoking that makes you revert to it so easily? Maybe identifying what drives you to return to it again and again will help you resist the urge when it hits you.

I really wish the switch in your head that controls the impulse would simply turn from on to off. I know that whenever I have managed to change a behavior I don't like but keep on practicing, there is this moment when I'm saying to myself--for the zillionth time, it can feel like--"I don't want to do this anymore," and then another saner, smarter, sterner voice responds matter-of-factly, "Well, then don't." And that's it: the thing I don't want to do becomes instead a thing I do not do, no matter what. I wish that could happen for you.

Don't want to be duel using as I would not vape but only smoke...
I've never recommended this to anyone before, but if vaping alone doesn't work out for you to quit smoking, you might consider using Chantix. Its a prescription drug which allegedly lowers one's desire to smoke.

I cannot emphasise enough just how bad "Chantix" or "Champix" here are. Research them, they aint good.

That is why I said I had never recommended Chantix to anyone before. It has many possible side effects and potential drug interactions.

However, under a medical provider's strict evaluation and followup, it is an option if other methods to quit smoking have consistantly failed. I've heard that users have successfully quit smoking using it without issues.

Also, instead of beating yourself up about it and smoking again, think of the positives in not having a smoke. Negative thoughts about smoking add to the not smoking solution to where you feel you want to be. It can be a spiral that takes up far too much time and many take the easy option and submit to smoking because it's easier and readily available.
Put yourself in a situation where they don't cross your mind, &, if you have a vape device with you, use the thing! It's how many here said goodbye to combustible pewtridness.

Back to smoking once again and I hate myself for it. Especially when all I do is cough and never enjoy it.

It's not how many cigarettes that you smoke that is important. It's how many you DIDN'T smoke that is important.

I know you need tough love to get someone to do as you need them to do something, but as I have paranoid schizophrenia, it is hard to break my habit of smoking.

Right. You know that ~90% of people suffering from schizophrenia smoke? It's called self-medicating. You may have a really hard time quitting on your own. Please talk to your shrink and ask for help. As others have suggested, Swedish snus in conjunction with vaping may be helpful because it provides those minor tobacco leaf alkaloids that are missing from nicotine eliquids. I also agree with Baditude that Chantix (varenicline) may be worth considering in your situation. Just Google varenicline (or Chantix) and schizophrenia and smoking and schizophrenia. Tons of good studies. Discuss it with your doctor. Besides, even if you succeed and quit smoking, you may need to have your meds adjusted.

Good luck!

Please talk to your psychiatrist before trying Chantix. You may not be able tot take it.
Not everyone has a psychiatrist. I'm sure it's hard to imagine, but some of us have made it through our entire lives without ever having had one.
