I apologize beforehand if this has been addressed previously, but has anyone made a master list of all the known issues and or quirks (including those that bricked the units which had to be sent back for repairs), and any possible solutions and/or work arounds for such findings?
So what do we have so far for technical issues (leave features and subjective stuff out)?
Did I miss anything? That's not at all bad for the first batch.
- 1 instance of pump locking on- unrepeated.
- A few random resets that may be attributed to low battery condition.
- A few instances of irratic behavior that may be related to unintentional contact with the touchpad.
- Full charge not displaying full resolutoin on the EQ dial..
- A few documentation improvements.
- One unit sent back with QC issue repaired and on its way back to owner
- short battery life
Okay this is what Michael told me about the voltage resetting itself to 4.0v. I was using an AW IMR18650, Joye SR510 reading 2.3 to 2.4 ohms vaping it on the 4.4 volt setting. Every now and then I get the voltage reset. Here's his reply to my inquiry about this:
I think what you are experiencing is not a defect but the protection feature that is explained int the manual (and may need better explanation).
Here is how it works.
If you are trying to vape at higher voltages and your atomizer ohm is too low (2.3, 2.2, 2.1,2.0), and the unit senses this it automatically kicks you out of what ever voltage your were at and sets you at 4.0volts. This is the unit protecting itself from over current discharge. The unit will only do this when it sense that there is too much current being called for from the atomizer and the voltage level is to high. To remedy when you are vaping with atomizers that are considered low resistance by EQ standard mentioned above the unit will set you back to a safe level to vape at. Voltages of 4.0v to 4.2v. should only be used when the atomizer is below 2.3 ohm (approx) this will stop the unit form resetting you back to 4.0v
So according to Michael if you want to vape Joye SR510 atties check the resistance first if you like vaping them at 4.4 or 4.5 volts like I do. If they meter out at 2.3 ohms or lower you can expect random reboots or only set your EQ to a max of 4.2 volts. I plan on doing some testing to see if the voltage resets while vaping at 4.2 volts. I'll post my results later.
that doesn't explain why my 801 that is 3.5ohm is resetting the unit.
and if we create a new sub forum for EQ people mike and mario won't be able to post in it. They can only post here.
same here with the HV attys....that doesn't explain why my 801 that is 3.5ohm is resetting the unit.

i got my eq this morning and i love this thing! i havent had any problems and have been vaping for about 6 hours straight.
Any battery changes? Using the incuded high drains?
