I would do this if I wanted 4.7V...I'd just settle for 5.1...it's a compromise so that I would not have to constantly keep pressing and holding and resetting back up to 4.7v.
IMO, that is not a compromise. It is a workaround a flaw.

I didn't receive mine today. So that makes tomorrow a near certainty. I've been reading through the posts made since I crashed last night and am feeling very uneasy about my $300 purchase. Hopefully, in 24 hours I'll be getting my first experiences with this Bentley of the PV world. Hopefully, I won't be experiencing the problems being aired here. Are the issues universal or only happening to certain units? Although mwa reports only a few occurrences ... he confirms the glitch.

I hate to have this downer of a feeling regarding something I've waited so long for and paid a hefty price to get. As I stated publicly before they started shipping, I'd rather wait longer and get a device which functioned as designed and as advertized. But, tomorrow is delivery day in all likelihood.

I have tried to be about as polite and nice as I could be about the reset issue. I have hinted that Mario or Michael need to actively address the issue in this forum or by email and what the solution or plan of action is to correct it. But many days later now....nothing. It is a shame that DC has seemed to carefully plan every
step of this product's development and communicate it fairly well to potential buyers, only to drop the ball when it matters most. Very disappointing is all I can say.

I think that if he does not address the issues, they will simply snowball out of control and the EQ project will implode in on him. It is the feedback in this forum that I would hope would help him to stop further repeat issues. We are simply trying to aid him in what the Beta Testers were suppose to achieve.

Some medicine is difficult to take but if one is to get better one must swallow the medicine and digest it....

....and perhaps consult with someone to find out what someone else does not know.

Just so I understand this reset issue fully...for the units that are seeing the reset problem frequently, how often is it happening? Is it dropping the voltage setting after every firing, or is it only happening after the unit sits for a period of time? Any clarification would be appreciated.

Also, regarding these phantom "beta testers", has anyone following this thread talked to a beta tester? Do we have any idea when the non disclosure agreements expire? I have contacted individuals who I know for a fact were testers to simply ask when the NDA expired...of course none would even respond to say they couldn't comment...

The following is a real time vape session done successively and documented as I performed each step:

1.)okay...I just set to 4.7v....now i'm vaping...I hit the fire button and it goes back to 4.1V.
2.)so I'm setting it back to 4.7v, I hit the fire button, I get a nice vape.....hit the fire button again, another vape....
....set it down....let it cool a bit...hit the fire button...back down to 4.1V.
3.)reset to 4.7v, yet again...hit the fire button...immediate reset to 4.1V.
4.)reset to 4.6V, yet again...hit the fire button...immediate reset to 4.1V.

This was 4 real time examples...documented as I did it in real time.

I believe this is an impossibility as, I understand it, they have signed NDAs...Non-Disclosure Agreements.

I doubt the NDAs would expire soon...maybe good for 1yr or more?...guessing...Logically if you are having them sign NDAs you wouldn't want them to expire anytime around the release of the product....so minimum 60 days I imagine...guessing though.

WE ARE BETAS FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION.

We will provide the Knowledge Database for all to consume...we will not be silenced by documentation.

Help Us, please.

Thanks for laying it out like that bud....this is definitely a major issue if its happening this way with the units that have been delivered. I didnt quite understand the severity of the malfunction...

I will be relentless in my pursuit to get a working(as sold) device and will not stop until I have that which I was sold or Digitalciggz decides not to repair, in which case I will make another move.

I will be emailing DC about the resets on the voltages and will get back to you all, though I think that DC and all of us would be better served by DC making a forum statement regarding this condition.

What is the atty ohm rating you used in this session?

At this point, I am of the belief that the atomizer being utilized is not causing this voltage reset problem....has anyone tried to replicate this without any atomizer connected at all?

I removed the atty and it is NOT happing BUT we are basically bypassing the fire circuitry. It is this circuitry that needs to be closed to complete a logical test....It is my theory that the fire circuit is not isolated for the LED(Voltage control) circuitry thus creating the reset when the fire action is performed.

2.2 is the limit for overcurrent protection but it's not just happening at 2.2 and below. Jimho reported it happening at 3.5 ohms and I've had it as well with different ohmed atties. The problem is even when Michael comes on ECF and post in this thread he doesn't address the issues. He chooses to ignore them in hopes they'll go away. Well people I'm hear to tell you that I like all of you paid $300 for this device and this is not acceptable. I want the device we have been told about for the last year and not one I constantly have to check to make sure the voltage hasn't reset.
