I was part of the second run and my EQ went back today.
If the problems are in coding (and I don't know that), and the code is in an EPROM or some such component, could the units be 'fixed' by DC simply by installing the corrected software?? If so, it would be nice to see DC step up and announce a postage paid recall, and a halting of shipping for any further units until the issue is resolved.
Drumonron......SimplyDraven canceled as well. For the list.........
Just to refresh everyone's memory- earlier this week I was able to test a .5 Ohm load and did not get a reset .. the results were here:

also a full on short caused the unit to flash all LEDs when powered on - I did not get a reset in either test.
You guys can test this yourself in a few seconds with a short piece of wire- strip both ends, hold the wire by the insulation, and bend it over so you can touch the centerpost of the connector to the outer ring- Fire away- if it fries your unit, then Short Circuit protection is defective. Once you do this, ask yourself why a short circuit doesn't cause a reset but an LR atty does.
Something isn't right here.
Added the info, thanks Jif!!
To be honest, if I were recieving my EQ today, I'd hold back till you see some commitment from DC to address the issues.... Windows 95 had to run on hardware that wasn't under the control of Microsoft- and that ...... you off- in this case the vendor owns the hardware and software- we shouldn't be seeing these problems if the units were beta tested properly.

This is my dilemma exactly. I am inching closer to shipment time and there is no money-back guarantee provision in the EQ warranty. So once it ships, the buyer could be stuck with a constant ping-pong of returns with no other recourse. I know you guys waited 11 months but I have been onboard for 8 months now myself and my desire to own this unit has never waned, until now. So I am at the crossroads; either I cancel and wait until V2 or I accept what I'm getting into. I have waited to make that decision until we hear some sort of statement from DC. I really don't want to cancel, but we need to hear something very soon.

Yeah, sounds similar to my problem, just a different led....sounds like a return...contact DC immediately, he'll take care of you.
hey!!! I wanna be back on the list

Maybe a V2?? But even when/if V2 comes out I gotta make sure Im not close to the 1st units to be shipped.
Im sorry for you guys. I do have hopes that M&M are gonna make things right.
maybe he banned himself from ECF or all he does is building, building, building... and he's feeding out of a TPN bag.Yeah but since we haven't heard from Shadow I'm thinking that it's:
M + M - M = M
