I'm still waiting to hear from anyone that's tried to use thier EQ in daylight and change the settings.
Also, I just found my EQ on (no auto shut off) after setting it down for 3 hours this afternoon - lied it down on its back- no atty installed and no juice in the unit.
That video actually creeps me out, LOL. It would've been better if it ended around 20 -25 seconds.
Thanks for the effort Drummer.
Seriously, my EQ shipped Monday. Tomorrow is Friday and I haven't received yet. Tomorrow evening I expect to have it in hand. I so hope I get a problem free EQ.
Are the voltage switching problems universal?
I used mine all day today and had no voltage re-sets. I must say though that I have not used the 4v range, only the 5v-5.9v and 6.0 locked. Tomorrow morning I'll try the upper 4's and let y'all know. About the weirdest thing that happened to mine is I tried to run the pump program and the display froze with the first 2 green led's on. Took out the battery, replaced it, and it hasn't happened since.
Also, are everyone's voltage re-sets with a 901/801 with adapter or just 510's?
There's a 24 on mine.while waiting for email for support, i was looking up into the EQ... it might be serialized, but not sure... on what I can see is a 22 etched on the alum where the battery gets seated. (the eq on the outside is the front of the EQ) you will need a flashlight and just look straight up, if you have ejuice in your pump.
I really wanted mine to work out as well- and had participated in some of the betas and early releases you mentioned. My frustrations go beyond the issues we've identified- I thought it unfair to post subjective opinions (I do have a less than stellar opinion about usability) until we could get some of the objective issues adressed but its unclear that that's going to happen- short of fixing a bricked or leaking unit, we've had no acknowledgement of any of the issues and no public support from DC. Given this is a supplier posting and was used as a marketing vehicle for the device, I think its rude that DC has elected to not make the effort to actively participate here during this crucial time.
One difference is we've seen open discussion on the betas for the aformentioned devices- for some reason, possibly the confidence we had in Mario, it seemed to be a non issue here- I (probably like the rest of you) assumed that any issue comming from the Beta testers would be fully resolved before the units shipped. Clearly we were wrong. I still think we deserve an answer as to why Mario is no longer participating in this discussion. I don't know what's going on on the back end but I don't think Mario is involved in this any more and I think if he were, we'd have some clear dialoge and commitment to get these issues fixed.
I will say that subjectively I think the device is unsuited for mobile use - I found the UI cumbersome at best and impossible at other times- imagine driving and trying to check the remaining charge or set the voltage when you can't see the LEDs... As per BasiRay's video- remembering settings past the first three taps is a PITA. I hope between now and his next review he gets to take it out and about, puts it on his meter, and does a bit of side by side against a Darwin and a ProVari.

was wondering if anyone that has thier EQ already, can they check to see if they have any type of etchings on thiers? it could be serials dunno, until others have looked.
