Sorry if you feel that way. it is definitely not my intent. It is a simple matter of time.
Hopefully you can try to see this from my perspective.
I am INCREDIBLY busy. I work at this non-stop. I do not get breaks or days off. I don't get paid.
I try my best to update but I don't typically have the time to update all the time that I once did.

Twitter is a simple and easy way for me to shoot out a quick little update and keep everyone on the same page.
Logging in to all the forums, backtracking to read up on all the posts and taking the time to answer everything,
while something I LOVE to do for every one of you, is just something that takes me away from the work I have to do.
After all is said and done, I will have more time to go back to being on more with you all and give you the personal attention that you deserve.
For now, this is my situation.
If you prefer to not follow me and get up to the minute info, that is ok.
Just know that you may be waiting a while for me to have time to come in and do things in the way that you are used to.

As to VapeTV, well....
I love the people that spend their time there. There are great shows and equally wonderful and fun to watch hosts.
There is a real sense of caring and community that I have come to value very highly.
There is no drama or arguing or anyone tearing anyone down. Simply people helping each other to learn and share information in real time.
I go there at the end of a long day to decompress and spend time with people who have come to mean very much to me.
I have a show there on Saturday evenings and I try to use that time to answer peoples' questions and give some advice if I am able.
It is also the place that I have been afforded the opportunity to have a dedicated ECLIPSEeq forum just for YOU.
I am still working on populating it so it is not yet live, but my intention was to have a place where you could all share information and your excitement.
A place to give tips and enjoy your next gen ECLIPSEeq devices without anyone trolling or being rude or constantly bickering about "whose is better".
I wanted to give us all a chance to have our own community on our own terms with the ability to ask questions and speak our minds.
If I was wrong to think that anyone would want to come along with me and enjoy something new and unique that was done just for you, then I am sorry. I was running on the assumption that we were also developing a friendship.
This is 100% my fault for making assumptions.

At the end of the day, I am just a guy doing his best to bring you something new that I am proud to have designed and built.

So here is your update, it will be the last for a while:

My feed adapter is now up to my specifications and is running flawlessly. Draw is incredibly smooth and full of flavor without getting juice in my mouth at all.

I am running the newest unoptimized ECLIPSEeq board for debugging and finalization of software implementation.

The USB charging circuit is running perfectly and to my specification.
It seamlessly switches between constant current and constant voltage just as any other charger you would otherwise use.
It stops at exactly 4.2 volts without fail. Charge rate is optimized for the USB 2.0 spec and is fully forward compatible with the newer USB 3.0 spec.

USB charge/vape (PT) mode is also working exactly as intended and without issue.

Reverse polarity protection is fully functional just in case someone inserts a cell backward.

etc. etc. etc.

I am doing everything that needs doing to ensure stringent testing and tight quality control and feature function.
Basically, I am making sure that you get everything I promised you. Thank you for all of your support, it means the world to me.

Take care and best wishes to you all,

- Shad0w

Shadow, point for conversation but doesn't this post of yours explain why it's quieted down here of late? The feeling I got, and maybe it's just me, is that you wouldn't be posting here as much?

But...

...now, I must admit, you leave me a bit confused?

Anyway, looking forward to the Eclipse eq, my friend.

No matter how you slice it, I'm in for your Eclipse eq!!

Mario, I don't think this has been talked about yet, if so, I apologize.

Do you know yet, how much effect the pump will have on the battery life? I would assume it will be minimal, maybe a 10% difference, but I don't know what I'm talking about, just a guess.

Thats a good question!

The pump draws very little power from the main cell. Leaving plenty for the rest of the units needs :)

It's going to take a 18650 and he said either one but the IMR would be the better choice.

just my thought too BB, I haven't seen the issue discussed...

when we talked about the IMR batt designated for the Eclipse... it was an 18650, wasn't it?
I was hoping for a Li-ion protected, just for longer usage, but since I've gotten used to the 18650 IMR on another PV, rotating a few, i use a couple a day... and given the applications for this "smart" PV, the IMR will obviously be better.

... and better than the 18500 for batt usage life.

this is gonna be big... the Eclipse eq.

1- 18650 AW w/ 2C rating or higher. IMR's have much higher C rating hence the better choice, but either can be used. I did talk to him about this awhile back for clarification., I wanted to have everything ordered,in hand and ready for the Eclipse.

He did post back in Jan. about AW 18650 w/2C or better

He did ? I hope I'm wrong, but i think i would have noticed that D.

The ECLIPSEeq will allow YOU the user to program it to automatically feed your liquid with one touch.

What does this mean?

It means that it no longer matters what mix percentage you use for your PG/VG.
You can now adjust the time of the FEED based on your own personal choice of viscosity.
It means that YOU are in complete control of how many drops are administered each time you press the FEED button.
It means that you can set the autofeed for the liquids that YOU use.

No rough guesstimates.
No wondering "Was that 2 drops or 3?"
No wishing the set value was different.

It is exactly what YOU set it for!
It is the most personally customizable PV yet!

How will it work?

You will enter "Programming Mode".
Next you will touch the FEED button to deliver as many drops as you like.
THen you lock in the value.

Now, each touch will run the programmed FEED sequence that you chose for yourself.

Can I go back to "Manual" FEED?

Absolutely! You can at any time go back to manual feed with a couple simple touches.

You will also be able to RECALL your LAST PROGRAMMED SETTING with just a different touch sequence.

Is this for me?

Of course!
This is the next level in PV personalization and convenience!
Instructions will be simple and easy to follow for all.
Experienced and chain vapers is who this was tailored for,
however, it will be just as easily utilized by a new ECLIPSEeq user.

Now i remember ...so like the Provari, it can take an 18650 protected, what i call a "regular" 18650 (one that fits), but for maximum variety of application (different atomizer resistances) the IMR's work better... although they don't last as long on a charge.
That's good news although, like i said, i don't mind rotating IMR's.

I do most of my vaping at home, and have something for the road ... our favorite 3.7 PV.
Helps to keep the "smart" pv's safe. lol, I am notoriously disorganized on the road.

I have yet to get the idea of what atty resistances are useful with the two different batts.

What atty and resistance do you anticipate using most on the Eclipse?

I have only a few HV attys now as I have stocked up on 2.2Ohm joye 510's and they have a nice range about them, although on the lower voltage spectrum; say 3.4 to 4.2 or even 5v.

Most of my stock are all Cisco LR 1.5's 306, 510,901,801 I also have quite a few Ikenvape LR 801 2.0's - Mini through the full size and LR 901's. Also have about 10 - Reg. Joye 510's. All attys listed will have the volatage increased to where I like it. The exact voltage - I don't know. Yes even the 306 just to see, and will also try it decreased to 3.5-3.6 as some people have done, just to see. All the 801's except for the mini - I cut off 1 1/4". Improved them alot but still a little too cool. Increasing the voltage should make them a lot better for me. I think I may cut my regular 901's down too. Hooray for mini pipe cutters.

The reg. Joye's taste bad at 6V so will try them around 5V

So, I ordered 4 batteries (18650 IMR AW 1600mAh). How many are you all going to have dedicated to the Eclipse Eq?

Battery X 4
1-In Use 24/7
2-Charging or Charged
1-In Travel Pouch/Car

Bottles X 15
I am thinking 15 bottles should be enough for starters?
~3 - Various morning/day juices
~4 - Low nic night/evening juices
3 - Travel Pouch/Car
5 - Spare bottles

What are your thoughts?

I already have 1/2 a dozen 18650 IMRs... thinking of picking up a few 2900mAh AW's or Readilasts as well - maybe i'll let someone else tell me if they last longer than the IMRs.

Can never have too many bottles, 15 sounds like a good start.
I ordered about 60 in various sizes on one of the coops - once I nail down a flavor, I like to mix it 20-30ml at a time- I'm finding it's best 1-2 weeks out and then starts to loose flavor.....so I'm not keeping much mixed on hand.
Was there a post on the source/type of bottles? They're all a little different.
If I don't have them already, I'd go in on a group buy...

I really only vape 2 flavors very often, so I'm thinking I only need maybe 4 bottles just to have spares.

Remember, if you want to change flavors just for a short time, just slap on your atty that's dedicated to that flavor and drip. You don't have to change bottles every time you change juice. You don't have to use the feed system.
