I understand where you're coming from...however first glance at the thread name "3DFS ALPHA" I would assume that it is understood this is an alpha unit...but I wasn't privy to all the "Beta testing" that had happened with this and that you had personally been involved with the beta testing - ok cool... Im in the wrong

"Anyway when you've been around as long as some of us and spent the amount of money many of us have spent then you come back and lets see how you react." sorry...I'll go back to the noob section and stick with basic "what is a carto and what's an atty"... I'm not attacking anybody...I'm just saying why not chill out a little bit and make this a positive experience and get it handled in a civil way..was I pi$$ed when windows 95 came out and was to rock the world...no..I knew there would be some issues (they had wayyy more major issues than whats going on in here)...so call DC...talk to them is all I'm saying, or cancel your order and wait until this has been out a while and then make your decision to purchase.

Like I stated earlier....if there's issues, DC should be addressing which I'm also reading here that they are...

so..it's all good!!

Your comparison to Windows 95 is like comparing apples to oranges. These devices are not like Operating Systems where thousands of functions are going on at the same time. They're simple devices with very few functions and a year is plenty of time to get all the major features running correctly. Plus this device was marketed here on ECF so better communications by Digitalciggz on here addressing these issues would go a long way for many of us on this thread.

Sadly, I cancelled. No notice of shipment so I emailed both the addresses I have as well as called and left a message at the brick and mortar store.

Mark sure you get confirmation because someone else posted they canceled their order but never received confirmation and their EQ shipped.

I had previously only been using the 5.0v - 5.9v range and experienced zero voltage re-sets. In fact, I didn't really understand what you guys were talking about. I'm using an Iken HV 510, and have been since I received my EQ. This morning, I changed over to the 4.0v - 4.9v range to vape it all day long (on the same atomizer) and see if I could replicate.

After about 2 hours, I noticed that there was a solid green led all the way to the left.

I re-set to 4.8v and vaped away, everything was fine until I manually triggered the pump to refill the atty. I didn't notice at the time, but it re-set my voltage again. I was pretty sure this was happening, so the next time the atty needed a re-fill, I watched closely but it didn't do it. About 3 more manual fills, where I was watching the voltage and led's closely, it finally did it again. That's 3 times in one day, not too bad, but not great either. Any others out there, watch your led's closely after either a manual or pump-program refill to see if that's triggering the re-set. To me, that's the only coincidence I can see.

NCC, here's hoping you receive yours today!
I normaly work until 6PM CDT.
But, I may be getting off earlier today due to lack of work ...
or maybe because I expect delivery between 3 & 4 PM CDT (kidding).

I've got all of my fingers and toes crossed, hoping that it is a perfect specimen.

There's absolutely no way this should be happening if the device is operating as intended. If anything it should be happening the other way around if the overcurrent protection is working correctly. Sounds to me there's some isolation issues or possible ground looping going on.

That would be correct....My email to cancel was never acknowledged....

That concerns me... I live kinda close to the brick and mortar store and asked Michael to call me before shipping so that I might 'come in and pick it up'... He said he would not that in my file... I emailed both Michaels and the support email as well as left a voicemail message at the store.. All are time/date stamped. I have received no call or email stating shipment. I guess I could put a block on my card but I don't want to do that.

If you don't hear back from them by the end of the day I just send another email to him and info@digitalciggz.com asking for confirmation.

I'm not trying to explain the "why", just the "what" that is happening. Coincidences lead me to look for reasons why something might happen, and I don't have that answer. Out of the 20 or so times I have re-filled, 3 times the voltage has re-set. I've also tried pluggin and un-plugging the USB, letting the EQ go into sleep mode, forcing it into sleep mode and changing from 4v range to 5v and back again. I can't seem to get it to happen any other time except for every so often when I'm re-filling. The pump should obviously draw less current than firing the atomizer, so maybe it's not the overcurrent protection and it's something in the logic. I'm just throwing out there my personal observations. I hope this helps.

I have vaped for 6 hrs at 5.6v with 2.8 ohmed bulli a-2 on the first day, then swapped out a new battery for 12 hrs at default setting I think 4.0v with a 1 yr old new magma 2.5 ohmed atty, to test MNKE battery, went through 2 bottles on my first day.

samething again for day 2, but recharged via usb, left over night, and then bumped the voltage to 5.1v with the magma 2.5 ohmed atty. lasted through out the day, about 5 hrs, then recharging via usb rinse and repeat till nightfall.

right now on day 3, I'm in a lock out, waiting for answers.

Could you specify exactly what is occurring or what leds are lit up during this "lockout".

my 3rd led is blinking nonstop, and you can push the eq button it lights up, but does nothing while 3rd led is blinking, its a total lock out. remove battery, reinstall battery, or plug in usb with battery, puts me at 3rd led light blinking nonstop, none of the other buttons work, only pushing the eq button to light it up, but thats about it. I cant get into master reset at 8 leds, because once its EQ is on, bootup leds does it dance, it goes directly to 3rd led light blinking.

That is the same thing mine was doing when I sent it back for a replacement.

Is yours from the 2nd batch or the first.

I have been watching to see if there is any changes in the issues per shipment.

It would be a big help if every one could include when posting issues what shipment there EQ was on.

Drum could you start adding that to your post regarding issues. This way we can track to see if issues are being addressed and fixed by DC as shipments are received.

Yeah, sounds similar to my problem, just a different led....sounds like a return...contact DC immediately, he'll take care of you.

so..it's all good!!

Windows 95 was widely beta tested and many issues were published when it came out or caused by drivers that were written by third parties. Not saying it was perfect but there was plenty of information from the Beta testing available when it was released.

To be honest, if I were recieving my EQ today, I'd hold back till you see some commitment from DC to address the issues.... Windows 95 had to run on hardware that wasn't under the control of Microsoft- and that ...... you off- in this case the vendor owns the hardware and software- we shouldn't be seeing these problems if the units were beta tested properly.
