This shop and products look awesome :vapor:

Been using the ego twist 1000 with phoenix bully for a while now and im very happy with the performance. Only i think i just broke 2 ego twists since the wont charge anymore. They do give a blinking led (empty) when i put on the atty. Did not realize i could break my batts with a wrong coil. Gonna get a meter now and another bully. Is the fahrenheit a better choice or does it only holds 5-6 drops? (like the 10-15 better)

Im also looking for a whole new setup. Is the Montermesh rba the same width as the Vision spinner 1300? It looks like a great combo to me.

I forgot to mention at the tank end of wick i cut it at a 45 degree angle and install the mesh until it touches the tank floor. ; )
Also i make a fold over the end of mesh and then use a paper clip straightened out and then roll the mesh wick and and afterwards i leave it in and hold it with needle nose pliers to oxidize it on the stove .
So the wicks actually have a small diameter hole running thru the center of wick .

What Dieseler said...the fold prior to rolling acts like a hem, and keeps the stragglers at bay. I don't use the paper clip, I just roll it as tightly as I can.

I've got a couple similar geni/tanks form another vendor which appear to be the same device. That said, the mesh that came with mine was much more coarse than the 400 I got elsewhere.

You really need a good mod that will read your RBA build ohms if your going to mess with coils... You have popped your ego batts... If you stick with Egos I suggest the vivi novas or the stardust. Otherwise upgrade your batts before you get another RBA...

Well if that is true then i dont understand why i see pics off the ego batts + RBA's on them on all sites and also on this site. And why are they even making the smaller ones like the mini DID clones? I thought it was a good match, the whole reason im buying them is because of the size since the mods are too big in my opinion. The size of the vision spinner 1300 looks perfect.
I have the vivi nova and stardust and i will never use them again. This phoenix bully is much better working for me.

If you don't want to use a mod that can read the ohms for you, then you really need to get yourself a multimeter and learn how to use it so you know what ohm coils you have built and can adjust accordingly.
Something else that the bigger mods have is the ability to let you know if there is a short in the coil you've built.

I love my bully and my spinner too. I would never put my bully on my spinner, but that just how I fly...

Once you have it worked out.. Once you know you have no short, than I could see moving a bully to another batt. But I would not put a newly build unit on a ego type batt I would like to keep.

i have 2 twists that started acting that way. I was going to gut one for a mod and discovered the neg wire had come loose and was not making proper contact. After disconnecting the wire and then re soldering it the twists went back to acting normal. The first one did it again and it seem the bat cell moves around in there putting stress on that wire...

Is anyone else having a hard time trapping the coil leads in the screws?

Seem like when I tighten down instead of trapping the lead it just pushes it out. No mater how tight I try to hold it. The positive end is probably the hardest for me. The top screw hits some kind of limit and I wind up "unscrewing" the piece just under it to come up and make the connection.

Anyone else?

Anyone have any ideas on where to get orings/seals for the new GV MonsterMesh RBA I just bought from GotVapes? This thing leaks juice like you have never seen, it literally leaks out as fast as I drip it in. I fully expected to tinker, tweek, experiment with the coil to hit the sweet spot per the GV site but it has to perform the most basic duty of holding juice first. GV's help consisted of sending me here to I guess find others who have the same problem. They basically told me this item is experimental and NOT CONSIDERED TO BE OPERATIONAL OUT OF THE BOX.

So does anyone know where to find orings/seals for this thing?

Besides what Njt07 mentioned about getting the positive post length right... Wrap the wire around the post in the same direction that you are tightening it down. If you can get a couple of super thin flat washers ( local hobby shop should have some ), place those above and below the wire ( wire inbetween the washers ).

One other thing... Only wrap the wire 180 at the most... don't wrap it over itself or you risk having it cut itself in two when you tighten it down.

Check that you don't have the o-ring twisted... The only reason to replace them is if they are nicked, cut or broken. Local hardware stores will usually have a selection of o-rings if you need them. Take one with you to match the size.

If you look at the nuts that hold the pos lead, you'll notice that one side is sort of tapered and the other side is flat. Put the middle nut on the post tapered side down and put the top nut on tapered side up so that the flat sides of the two nuts meet. That will pretty much accomplish the same thing as the washers, I think. I was having trouble getting the top nut to screw down tight enough to hold the wire, and this works better for me so far. And as rdsok said, wrap the pos lead the same direction that you turn the top nut to tighten it so the nut is not pushing the lead.

Really and what is this for?

The Twist battery is safer than regular eGo batteries because it offers 3 kinds of Protection:

Short Circuit Protection: When short circuit happens, the battery will shut down and not function again until short circuit is removed.

A multimeter should be enough? Or am i missing something here

I got one the other day. I fiddled with it until I got the coil to glow. I killed a lot of time doing that.

I tried to put some juice in but that hole is so small the dropper I thought I could use is not gonna work.

I did get to puff on it a bit and it tasted nice for a bit. Until I realized my poor old LT screen had fogged up from me washing all the juice I spilled off of it.

This thing isn't really gonna leave the house. It is too fiddly. Also, I can't beleive there isn't a extra tiny screw included.

When I saw that GV got this in, I started laughing and wondering how long it would be until all the eGos blew. Not very long was it?

Even if you use a mulitmeter and all is good, these advanced atties can pop a coil at any time and then pop your eGo. You need an advanced PV to go with it, unless you don't mind buying a LOT of replacements.

From the GV site itself:
GotVapes MonsterMesh™ RBA by HCIGAR-2.4ohm Rebuildable Atomizer [gv-MonsterMeshRBA] - $17.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Important Note:

Please note very carefully that rebuildable atomizer coils and wicks have known risks.

Rebuildables are for experts, not average or beginner vapers with no multimeter or knowledge of how to use a meter, or when a meter must be used, or how electronic devices work. These materials cannot safely be used by the inexperienced or those without basic knowledge of electronics.

This is because:

1. A rebuildable coil/wick MUST be tested carefully with a meter before it is used.
2. If it is not tested it is entirely the risk of the user.
3. Faulty wicks/coils WILL blow electronic devices.
4. New coil/wick units must be tested and then used first on a strong basic electrical APV that has short circuit protection.
5. No new coil/wick assembly should be used on an electronic device until known to be safe.
6. These items destroy electronic devices if faulty. This is a known issue.
