Mine are all working great. I'm waiting for them to get the heads in. Which is hopefully soon.
I think I've had 4 heads go bad in the last 2 days. Anybody else? I swapped eVods to 3 different batteries to cross-check. Its the heads and not the Vamo. I almost thought my Vamo was screwing up and putting out WAY to much voltage but I don't think thats the case. I bought all 5 of the heads from a really nice vendor with good service, etc. I have 5 more on the way from another vendor because the 1st vendor was sold out. $1.50 ain't bad but 4 in 2 days?
Dana
No sir, that was the 1st thing I did, turn the voltage down to 3. I refer to that chart 20 times a day also. I think I got a bad batch cause the heads that came installed in my 4 eVod's seem ok except 1 that fried out the other day.
Thank You,
Dana
I may have figured it out? I think it was my taste buds? Been vaping since 1/2/2013 and never had this happen. I soaked 3 heads in vinegar overnite and now in water. I'll try them tomorrow and see.
Was finding the bad taste in EC Blend's 'Darkness' which is one of the few flavors I love out of 80+ flavors!! It's a tobacco, cocoa, chocolate juice and its dark as well.

Kanger EVOD MT BCC Bottom Coil Changeable 2.4ml 1.8ohm
$6.95
Introducing the The Kanger EVOD BCC MT eGo Bottom Coil Changeable. This features a protective and attractive windowed metal sleeve with a clear acrylic domed mouthpiece. That area of this carto is not removeable.
Kanger advertises that this will receive a fill of around 2.4ml but you are probably going to see filling capacity at around 2.0ml. This unit features a well performing 1.8ohm coil head. You can use regular T3 coil heads with this unit but they do not look as attractive as the native two-piece coil head base system created for the EVOD.
The name EVOD evokes images or associations with 'modding' and quite possibly Kanger has now created a bottom coil eGo cartomizer where they have made it more accessible and easier to mod to your liking. Please refer to the pictures on the left. You will see that it has mother wicking that is just laid across slots on the side of the coil head and feeds a coiled wick below in the coil head well. You can replace, thin that mother wick out a bit, or maybe even thicken it more to better perform with the type of juice you are vaping with. Also with this type of approach Kanger may be able to manufacture the replacement heads more inexpensively, making the base and coil head available separately. At this time the heads were sold out until after the CNY.
This will of course fit well with most CE4 style clearomizers such as our Stardust and ReDux and with many ego-welled mods such as the Joyetech eVic but we have not been able to test of course, on all mods. Due to the fact that it does not have knurled base may mean it fits more of a variety of mods than the T2s and T3s. Your mileage will of course then vary and you may need an adapter as you do with other Kanger products such as the T2 and T3. We WERE able to thread this on to the Vision Variable (Vamo) but we did not fill with juice and vape at the time of this writing.
At only $1.59 a pop, these coils are a bargain for how good they are and how long they last.Well,,,I finally had to replace my original Evod coil after about a month, but it wasn’t because the wicks or coil were worn out. I fell asleep laying on the couch watching TV last night. When I woke up, I was laying on my PV. The coil had come unscrewed from the tank, and my juice had poured out on the couch. When I picked up the battery and coil, I saw that the coil air tube and the loose wicks were missing. They were still in the tank.
At 2 o’clock in the morning, I didn’t feel like putting a new wick in that coil, so I just went and got a new one. I guess I’ll just throw out the old coil, because the new one is working great.

Just another reason why EVOD is my go-to choice. Kanger is on a roll with this new base design!
I'm happy to see that they're using it on the Megga and Pro series too.
Falling asleep with a PV....messy
Falling asleep with an analog....fire trucks and you're out on the front lawn in your jammies

I've had a few of these since Friday and I can say I'm not impressed. I've had them filled with different liquids and no matter the voltage there is a hint of a burnt taste in all of them. It's like the wicks are slow to absorb the liquid. Today is the best I've tasted from them but that burnt taste is still there in the background. My BCC Mega, with the 1.8 coil in it doesn't have this taste with the same flavors.
