I agree with you on the fire button color indicator being an advantage to the vv. I have found myself in yellow on the MVP without even realizing it for awhile.

I slightly disagree on the comfort point. For me, the MVP gripped "sideways", with the side of my thumb pushing the button, feels just right. It's more comfortable than holding the smaller stick form factor of the vv, if only just a bit. I do have big hands, though.

I've seen some people mess with putting a DNA20 in their MVPs to replace the stock chip. Something to think about. You'd probably be able to keep the charging board as well.

I still don't know what caused the failure. I "think" it was a damaged cell so I think this one is headed for the parts bin.

Ummm.... No it isn't. But I don't think they make them any more. I suppose it is only fair tho.

Mr. Opus, we got some more editing to do.

Yes they do make the SVD, Unfortunately I could not see any photos on the innokin website of any standing upright. The only large picture they had with the white/off white background showed it horizontal and disassembled so I had to cheat and show some models more than once. I guess I should mention that the banner is a "represntative sample only" and does not represent the entire innokin line..... There is a smaller picture of it upright. If someone wants to add it, I'm including the background below and you can surely replace one of the MVP's with it..... (grin). I'm MS Painted out right now.

So got my first MVP 2. It's working great and enjoying it. Did not think it would weigh so much. I was using an eGo Twist earlier and I don't know if this is in my head (after reading numerous good things about the MVP) but I have started to get more flavor when using the MVP. Is it supposed to be that way? I mean the eGo is also heating the coil as the MVP at the same voltage as the MVP but then why the difference in flavor?

It's probably not in your head. The MVP 2 hits the voltage you set and hit's it consistently the Voltage regulation circuit is fantastic. Plus with it's HUGE battery, it can continue to hit that voltage for a long long time...

The ego twist has a smaller battery and it's voltage regulation is probably not as good, so it's most likely that the Twist is firing lower than what is set a good portion of the time.

If you put both units on a meter and fired them you would see a lot of voltage lag on the twist and none on the MVP2.

I love my MVP2, but hate that I cant see the button color when I vape.....all of a sudden it's yellow and Im not sure for how long...even got to red once and thought damn shouldn't have done that. If they would redesign it with the button on top or on the smaller side it sure would be great....only thing I have to complain about it.

I agree. But I wouldn't worry about it too much. A 100% level of discharge is considered 3.0 volts and the itastes usually start going red at 3.5 to 3.6 so you have plenty of room. The Innokin under voltage protection is very conservative so you didn't hurt your battery.

I do prefer how it's so easy to see with the vv3, but then again the vv3 lasts a fraction of the time. If you periodically give it a push without vaping, or hold down the P and U buttons, you will see the remaining charge after the ohms reading.

3.6 and it's time to start thinking about charging it up.

I actually had mine die on me today for the first time. Had no idea I was in the yellow much less red.

As you've seen, I got my MVP2, and I am impressed. I have to admit, I do like the vv3 slightly....ever so slightly.....better.

Here's why....

The biggest advantage of the MVP2 is its absolutely insane battery life. 2600 mAh is insane. The only way you are getting longer vape time is to strap a car battery to your back. The capacity of this beast is so large it can charge 3 THREE itaste vv3's. I mean, this thing lasts forever on a charge. What's funny is I could actually charge my vv3's because it doubles as a portable phone/battery charger.

Some might think this is a gimmick, but it's an insanely cool gimmick.

Performance wise, this thing is nearly identical to to the vv3. And it's it's huge capacity that makes it my primary home vape.

It also has absolutely solid construction.

On the "energy" series (with the funky paint job) they've also filed down the output on/off switch so that it is flush with the bottom and the unit now stands up solidly with no wobble. NOTE: They may have done this on the newer "standard" MVP2's as well, but I don't have one to compare.

My friend and I just received MVP 2.0's from 101vape last Friday and neither of them have the ''wobble'' issue. I've also seen other people post recently saying that their new MVP's don't have the wobble either. Also the button on mine doesn't seem too stiff at all. I don't have a tool to test it with, but I have no issues pressing it and don't get a sore thumb or anything like that. I was very pleased to get mine and have no wobble. That and the button were the only downfalls I really read about and was prepared to deal with.

learn a new grip
when you know it is close to 'yellow', turn it over
and use your index finger to push button and be able to see color level indicator

- - -

once it is yellow, red comes qwik !

from MVP manual

LED Light Blinking Mode:
The LED light will blink in different colors to indicate the current battery voltage
1. Yellow LED light = battery voltage between 3.61V and 3.75V
2. Red LED light = battery voltage is lower than 3.61V

that's only .14v diff and if your using a hot dual coil
the end comes qwiker than you can change out a bottom coil...

3.61 volts is a lot higher than what battery university tested as far as their discharge cycles. (they cycled them down to 3.0 volts).

That's a pretty big safety factor. Probably why you don't see any "vent holes" in the MVP.... It's nice to know even if you go to red, you don't run any risk of damaging the battery.

I believe the two charge ports on bottom act as venting access...

I just bought an MVP 2.0 and it's supposed to arrive in the mail tomorrow. I'm super excited! I can't wait till I don't have to worry about my battery dying at the end of the day or forgetting what resistance my coils are. Thanks to all you guys for all of your input on which device I should purchase next. I'm sure my eGo C twist will make a great back up battery. Maybe I'll give it to a friend for Christmas to get him started :D

Whoop! New MVP v2 owner here! Finally arrived after 2 weeks (AND I paid for priority mail, ugh). Package got lost somewhere between here and San Diego. Talk about anxiety on my very first vape mail.

Previously, I'd been running with a basic setup--a couple vision spinners/ego twists. Huge difference. Got all my toppers to fire (with a little tweeking--thanks for the troubleshooting tips). Definitely a consistency in the voltage compared to the stick batteries. I felt I was constantly having to tweak the vv on the twisters. Not a problem anymore. Set it and forget it, baby!

Sorry stick batteries, you're just not cutting it for me, anymore. I'll pass them down to my hubby (when he's ready to give up the analogs). Yep, this MVP lives up to the hype. Nice little stepup/upgraded battery for my needs, and not as big as I worried it would be. Looking forward to chatting with ya'll! Cheers! (Off to order another MVP, gotta have a backup, lol!)
