What've you got on top? It might be a coil that's shorted out. Or you might be a victim of the disappearing pin--where the center pin drops and doesn't make good contact..

So far I used a Gemini dual coil tank...PT1...ands evod...not reading ohms..and fires a bit? Guys...I'm crushed

can u speak on the center pin theory ?

I recieved my MVP 2.0 on Friday and have been fiddling with it all weekend. Today I decided I'm going to return it. The issue I'm having is that I only vape with Evods and Protanks, and they do not work on the device. I tried everything from pulling pins up, replacing the coils, and nothing works. If I throw an Iclear 16 on it, it fires with no issue. I tried using the Iclear this weekend and just didn't like it. Very good vape; when it works, but it just randomly just kept shooting juice in my mouth. Also, forbid you lean it on it's side for more than 5 minutes, juice leaks out the mouthpiece. Never had this issue with Evod/Protank. If I can only use the MVP with the Iclear it's not for me. I did some research and it looks like some people have this issue while others don't, I don't get it. My wife has an itaste VV, and her EVOD works on it, only if that's the only device being used. If she switches it to an ego and then back to the itaste, it will not work; even if you pull out the pin a bit. I tried her Evod on the MVP and draw was too tight, but it did fire...weird that hers fired but mine did not. If I unscrewed it a bit to get more air, I wouldn't be able to make contact. I just don't think the Itaste's and the Kangers play well together. If anyone has any tips feel free to share as I've tried everything and I'm pretty experienced. If not, will be returning within a day or two. BTW, the guys a Mt Baker Vapor are great. Are allowing me to return with no issue.

That's crazy! I'm only using ProTanks (I and II) and T3S's on my MVP2. Maybe you got a dud? I hope this isn't the norm as I have a couple new ProTank II's on order to replace my I's. That sucks big time man...

Sounds like sb... was suggesting the center pin on the MVP May have gotten pushed down inside the housing too low. Not sure if there's a good fix for that if that is the case...

You could try "pulling the pin" on your PT/evod/tank. Just get something like an eyeglass screwdriver and pry the center pin out *A LITTLE BIT*. Again, do this on the ProTank/evod/tank itself, not the MVP.

Also, remember to not over-tighten your tanks when putting them on the device (especially if the pin on the MVP is loose). Just thread it down until you feel it make contact, then give it like another 1/2 turn... To steal a line from GrimmGreen, "snug, remember we're just snugging" lol...

there is no doubt a design issue with the 510/eGo head of the MVP
it's just a little different
it fits INNOKIN stuff better than KANGER stuff

I was having RobNY problems when I first got mine, but for what ever reason they have gone away?
still get a "non" here and there, but a unscrew&screw cures it

RobNY
have you tried these - maybe do wonders for you and wifes iTaste gear
- Adapter - 510 to Ego - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

then this style of repair
- Magnetic Battery Spacers - Avid Vaper

sure hate to see you have to send it back

I love the Evod with the MVP. Small, easy, looks good, and don't have to worry about breakage. I was finding I had to draw too hard, which of course was making them leak. Used the same 1/16" drill bit I use to wrap the coils, and drilled out 2 of the holes. Works awesome!

so TWO of the holes huh...
I drilled (1) @ 1/16" and it had no effect
on another, took a small triangle file and carved grooves
across the bottom of the base (still nothing)

so you say your method had a changing impact, that's interesting ! thanx for the info ;)

Happy Vaping :)

So just to clear this up...my mvp2 is firing and VV/VW is working but today I tried checking ohms and NON is coming up...not only that but when I hit both buttons it fires!

So, when you push the P and the U together to check ohms/batt, it fires and displays NON? However it will let you set your watts/volts and vape normally? That sounds like a short on the wiring somewhere. Maybe contact your vendor, see if they can service it or replace it...

I did one hole first, and it helped a little, and then did the second. Below is a pic of the drilled out hole. If you look close, in the hole can actually see the top of the 501 connector on the MVP. It comes to about half way down the drilled hole. I guess it could depend on where exactly the stock holes were drilled on the Evod. I just opened up the ones that came from the factory a little. Pic below.

It is a much easier draw, and am getting a lot more vapor. I also removed one of the flavor wicks so as not too starve the coil/wick. So far been carrying all day, and no leakage.

Hate to say this Trev, I took a steak knife and just slightly pried up on the center pin of my MVP because the post on my igo-L won't budge. Now it will work as long as I don't push it back down with another atomizer.

The 510 to Ego Adapter works brilliantly. My iTaste VV V3 occasionally has issues with Evods. It looks a little goofy but certainly resolves the issue.

I think your right but it took me 3 wks almost to get it... Zainy.com
But I'm blessed enough to have plenty more devices to use but I love this baby ...it's a strange thing cause when I press both buttons quickly after the NON appears I at times get a reading ...but it also fires... So weird

That's taco-bell-liquor-poop man... Glad I have a shop (well, 2 hr drive) nearby... They told me when I bought it "if you have any problems, just email us the receipt # and we can work with you"... Honestly, I'm surprised to hear some of these problems. Innokin has built themselves a pretty good reputation. Sad to hear that, seemingly, they rushed out a product just to cash in on their reputation...

I tried a MT3S on mine today and got NON. It appeared that it was not threading on all the way so i got out my eGo-510 adapter. The beauty ring actually covers most of it. I replaced the MT3S and now it works fine. When i removed the MT3S the adapter came out with it so its a non issue when i swap out to my Pro Tank.

IMO, i would try the adapter. I got one for $2 at a B&M. I also clean the connection on the MVP with a qtip every time i change tanks. Juice can works its way down past the post and cause problems too.

You live in Pittsburgh, and have to drive 2 hours? I guess I forget sometimes. Las Vegas has something like 28 B & M stores in town now.
