Has been so far for me atleast. I've used kanger protank 2's since I started so I was a lil nervous to try it but I'm very very happy with my experience

I have been using the Protank2 and Protank Mini's and have been happy with them but I will give the 16b a try. I also noticed there is a 16d as well.

I've regularly handled acids, Nic is no where near as caustic. I understand what you are saying about exercising caution and all cautions should be taken but, you would have to spill a bunch on you and then leave it there for a long time before enough would be absorbed to start to cause problems. I have never read or heard about some one actually getting sick from brief skin contact and a whole lot of people in the DIY section have admitted to it happening. I've spilled a bit on myself before, wiped it off, rinsed it off and carried on with no ill effect. Now, if it was pure Nic., you don't even want to be in the room with an open jar unless you have a respirator

If you don't feel comfortable working with such a strong chemical then by all means just order it in a lower concentration. I have a science degree and have spent a lot of time in a lab so I will save myself some money and cut it myself. And save money you can with DIY if you don't go crazy ordering stuff you find out you don't like or use. A couple of 20ml syringes a couple of 1ml syringes and some clean baby food jars will get you started. You can order 15ml bottles of flavor from Mt.Baker for short money and is a good way to try a bunch of flavors for fairly short money.

I'm only advising caution when handling 100+mg/ml nicotine. I regularly mix without gloves myself, but I draw everything up in syringes, just like when mixing medications. There are a number of factors to consider with skin exposure, including the concentration of nicotine, length of exposure, and location of exposure. Skin thickness, and vasculature, vary throughout the body, and this will effect absorption rates. As long as you're dealing with -200mg/ml nicotine, you should be fine just washing it off quickly.

As for acids... that's really an apples and oranges kind of thing. Put 1ml of 18 molar (96%) sulfuric acid on your hand, and you're having a real bad day. But what's the chances it will kill you? Put 1ml of 960mg/ml nicotine (96%) on your hand, and your day just got a lot worse...

Nicotine will also penetrate clothing, and even latex gloves. Nitrile gloves hold up better, but it will go through them as well given time. I'm not saying don't mix your own liquids, it's certainly an easy way to save yourself some money. It's not that difficult, but you should understand what you're dealing with.

i'm right there with you. same experiences all around. though, mine came with 2.0Ω - 2.1Ω coils.

i must say, even after constant tweaking, modification and rebuilding my protanks, i highly prefer the iclear16Bs in my arsenal.

i have a few other options, but as far as a BCC (which i prefer to a top clear if my vivi nova is any indication), the iclear16B is a major winner in my book.

though, after getting a few ibtanked tanks in today, i'm really, really, REALLY liking a carto tank with a dual laser punched carto. pure heaven and no worries about tank cracker juices. this is vaping nirvana so far. almost as good as a good drip without the constant hassle of stopping to drip. so so sweet...

i think i'll reserve the iclear16B's for juices that won't crack a tank, the ibtankeds for ADV's and tank cracker juices i really enjoy, the protanks for secondary juices and when i want to fiddle and the drippers for when i want to fiddle and meld flavors, enjoy a nice, satisfying deep lung inhale, etc. ...

they'll all have their place in my arsenal. just the protanks are going to get further and further pushed back as i slip further into my niche(s).

.....I'm not saying don't mix your own liquids, it's certainly an easy way to save yourself some money. It's not that difficult, but you should understand what you're dealing with.

Some people collect mods, some people chase sub ohm clouds, etc. but DIY juice has become my hobby within my hobby. If some one is in this thread then that means you have finding a solid mod taken care of, now it's time to start saving some money and having a little fun. There is ton of info in the DIY juice section including safety precautions. It isn't really hard but you do need to be attentive. I've recently come up with a sweet vanilla graham cracker based recipe I've named Sugar Bear that has every one who has tasted it going Yummmmm!

Received my MVP II on Tuesday night. Didn't have to charge it until this morning. Awesome.
Oh, and I paid a visit to Jwraps and bought a wrap for it. I'm excited! Also picked a wrap up for one of my spinners.

I got 20% off by using this coupon code: VBDISC15

Here is the one I got for the MVP: S202

Here is the one I got for the spinner: S1

Anyone use these before? Are they pretty easy to put on? I worry about wrinkles and having unsteady hands.

I just ordered a custom Jwrap and I was a little worried about putting them on but it looks pretty easy:

Itaste MVP wrap - JWRAPS -The Original Mod Wraps - YouTube

I have a wrap and I had to use a blowdryer to get it to sit right. It was a little tricky compared to the phone skins I've applied before but looks great once on.

The ones from j-wraps are very easy. I put the button side on first, then wrap the right hand side first, then move to the left (screen side) to the back and finish with the right hand side.

Pretty simple. Just keep the air bubbles out and you'll be fine.

J-wraps do have some overlap on the right hand side (at least mine did), so don't worry about it.

My new to me Kayfun Lite Clone by EHPRO with a cotton build at 1.5 ohms. I bought it from my awesome nephew who got me off the ciggys! I just love that boy! It's such a great vape, so much better than a Pro Tank or anything else I've been using so far! I can see more of these tanks in my future!

Nice looking. Are they easy to rebuild?

Thank you, Speedracer!
Haven't had to rebuild it yet, my nephew did the coil for me. He told me it wasn't that hard to do if I just take out the cotton, heat the coil up to burn off the carbon and replace the cotton...
I have recoiled a few of my Pro Tank heads but I'll be u-tubing the cotton setup very soon...

Morning all!

Anyone venture a guess on why my PT2 leaks slightly into the battery? I've double-checked o-rings, coil is in very tight. I don't have an Mini PT2 base adapter, so I just don't screw it on all the way. The only juice I've used in it is Cinnamon (which is awesome btw). It sucks having to qtip the battery head out each time I use it..... :(
i really feel for u. i was going through the same thing with my protank2s. i also tried everything as u, i finally decided to get new bases for my 4 ptank2s, and u know what? it worked! problem solved..no more leaking or gurgling. i picked the bases from smoke evolution, at about $3 bucks each, these guys are great, fast shipping..hope this helps, lord knows i was ready to give up on my 4 protank2s. keep vaping everyone. p.s. this site and the folks here are awesome...take care.

better range than my MVP's....

wondered how long it would take

VV & VW

3.3v to 4.8v / 4.0w to 12w - smooth turning adjustment dial

In An EGO Battery ... ?

- Smoktech eMax Variable Wattage Ego Twist 11000mah - Blue

next thing ya know they'll have an ego that parks itself

:toast:

Better range? How so? 3.3v to 4.8v, vs 3.3v to 5v on the MVP... Just because you can set it up to 12w, doesn't mean it will actually do it. It's going to depend on the resistance of the coil, but then we'd also need to know the maximum amp output.
