Hello
greetings10.gif
I had never stopped to read this thread but this morning I did some of it. What a wonderful helpful bunch of people :) I too am an MVP2 lover and have a few of them. I'm a basic keep it simple vaper and use my MVP's with my mini Protanks mostly. Great vape for me. I need to go back and read this whole thread. :D A friend of mine had given me some leather and I went to work sewing myself some lanyards for my MVP's. This is what I came up with (artwork painted by myself). Great for working out in the yard  I don't sell these and I'm not a supplier, just wanted to show my love for the MVP to others who feel the same. I have given some away to people in the past and had a contest for a couple not long ago. Now I go back to reading some more  Have a great day !

Hi Midnite ! :D Every once in awhile I venture out into the big world of ECF :D So much I have yet to see in this place. I get stuck in an area and just never get out for a bit  my bad  I don't have too awful much leather left but I'm thinking of getting some more. When I do I could make some gifts for some people :D it'll be awhile though

Those leather wraps are beautiful! I have seen a few online but they are very expensive. Not surprising because there must be many hours of work involved.

The closest I'll probably get is a the imitation carbon fiber one that was thrown in with my MVP Energy or a homemade one using a 4" x 8" sample of imitation Black Alligator Skin that I bought on Ebay. It should look fairly good if I ever get around to cutting it out, that is if I don't mess it up .

Thank you Gandymarsh :D I bet that alligator will look great ! I'd love to see it when you get it done  I just made mine out of needing one for being outside with no pockets  Then I discovered I liked it and made some more

Wow! I am impressed with your sewing skill with leather - but even more so by your lovely artwork. You've got a ton of talent!:)

There is a shop on Etsy that sells some kind of like yours. If you want to go into business, I'm sure you could sell every one you make!

I do leatherwork for a living, check out Tandy Leather, the Hide House, the Leather Factory (I think they own Tandy now). Google is your friend as I do not have links on my phone. I have been wanting to make some just no time.

Beautiful work AG. I can really appreciate what went into these. When I get some time at home I need to work on this project.

pardon the typos, on my phone :)

Well, you can buy the material on Ebay for about $2.50 free shipping but you will need to cut it out yourself:) The seller is shown in the photo (the red print). I printed a template found on this forum. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...on/473345-itaste-mvp-v2-owners-group-107.html I found that printing it from the web turned out to be more accurate than downloading it to my machine for some reason.

Well folks.. As some of you may know, my wife was having some medical problems and her doc sent her to the ER Thursday... During the CT scan, they found a Pancreatic Cyst. Well, today, we just got the news that her blood work shows 4 elevated cancer markers (19-9 very high)...

I dunno... thought I say something... I prolly wont be around much...

Midnite - so sorry to hear. Sending positive thoughts and prayers.....

For anyone else who does have problems with the button on the MVP being hard to push, I have at least a start on a fix. I was being annoyed at having to keep charging my VV v3s on bad hand days, so I spent some time staring at the VV v3s and the MVPs trying to figure out what the differences were.

I think that the problem is mainly that the button on the MVP is recessed further into the bezel around it. This makes it so you actually have to push harder, and right on the button.

So I tried a kludge of sticking a small piece of foam on the button. What I had on hand to try it with was a pad intended to go under a furniture leg. So I cut a small piece off and stuck it to the button. It is a great help. The stuff I had is too thick -- it sticks out so far that it is going to get knocked off -- but the combination of the higher surface and the cushioning from it works.

So my next step is going to be to try to figure out a better material. I tried electrical tape, but while that helps some it is not thick enough, and due to my hand problems I've had no luck trying to layer it, so the search is on. I'm thinking maybe some "craft foam" but not sure yet.

I tried getting a picture, but the stuff on the button doesn't show well.
