yeah sando said it very well,
just build your coil and add wick,
funny how worried one might be about all the complexities of
building a coil, then they do it and laff about how elementary it is…
(how I felt at first, and read many others the same)

wow, your building triple coils and I bet using 28ga or 30ga;
I guess you guys MVP are stronger than mine, ‘cause mine don’t like pulling
that kinda load
… single 32ga is how I roll…

stiil can’t get my head around how/why, but big diff lining up
the air hole in cap to be right in front of coil wire…

then amount of juice depends on wick size & how big the deck area is
on said rda, but like all the rest, just keep it wet…

:)

I said i was doing it but i didn't say it worked well lol , i first started with 28 then 30 then 32 and the 32 would get red hot much faster and worked pretty well dual coil . I knew i wasn't getting max capability though .

Agreed that the MVP lacks the kind of power to instantaneously power up three coils of 28 or 30 gauge but thats not really my thing anyway.

I'm fine with basic Pro Tanks running an average of 8.5 watts and even my Kayfun running 9-10 watts but i had to try a dripper.

The MVP starts to get pretty heavily limited below around 1.5ohm. Doesn't mean it isn't still vaping. Just means the MVP is not going to give you anymore power than it is limited to at that resistance.

People have talked about firing .8ohm on the MVP. I don't know about that. I've never gone below 1.24ohm. That fired at 3.3V no matter what the MVP was set to.

HTH

My Kayfun was built by a guy at the shop I bought it from. It showed .6 to .7 ohm and I used it for a tank w/o issue. I rebuilt a 1.1 ohm coil with the wire that came with the Kayfun. I just got some 28 ga Kanthal and rebuilt (again!) to a 1.6 ohm which is what I'm using now.

Ok that's enough kayfun talk I can't stand it! I want to try one. Anyone have a link to a good clone? :)

http://www.angelcigs.com

They carry an assorted variety of clones and they have a US warehouse, so they ship out of Cali. I have been waiting on a Hades and a nimbus for about a few weeks now, but that may or may not be, at least in part, the fault of the postal service. The package was listed as delivered, then was listed as en route back to California, so not sure who's mess up it was... I digress. They have Kayfuns, Russians, all sorts of mods, droppers and tanks, at excellent prices and free shipping.

Does a bottom coil topper less likely to leak? I'm afraid of leaking if I'm sitting down with my MVP and I clear 30 topper...any toppers that won't leak if not always upright?

none should leak, if they do then they won't wick/syphon correctly (maintain vacuum)

assume the silicone O-rings do their job to seal the tank (least problem)

most leakage occurs due to the fact of 'coil' integrity

as far as which one does it best - pfffffffffffft, that's a loaded question :D

all I can say is I have very good luck with kanger bcc

Bottom coil toppers work on vacuum inside holding the liquid back until you draw on the tip, overcoming the vacuum, drawing liquid into the coil. Temperature or air pressure changes can cause the vacuum to turn into pressure and push liquid out.

Top coil toppers don't do that.

All of them can get condensation between the coil and drip tip that accumulates and gravity feeds out the top or bottom.

Why do you think the i30 will leak?

You still haven't bought one either huh , that 50 watt sounds like a great deal especially with the warranty . Fifty watts is not what i'm really looking for but it seems the 35 watt is DOA , people want the 50 and from what i have seen the 35 watt is essentially the same price.

I hate being a beta tester though. I have heard from a few different sources that Innokin is coming out with a DNA 30 device .

Kinda trying to keep my vape purchases down being on sick pay. It's not like I'm hurting for devices so it's all good!

I bought some VG from Walmart and i'm not exactly sure if it's the right stuff to mix with , it says 99.5 VG (Anhydrous) and it says it preserves leaves and flowers and is good for a skin soak (unfortunately thats not what i wanted to use it for) do i need to use 100% VG or is this stuff OK.

I put a drop on my tongue and it's pretty sweet

Thanks folks

This is what it looked like at my local Wally world:

USP (United States Pharmacopeia) on the label is what you want to see.

I didn't see if anyone else had answered your post, but one thing that is really important to keep in mind when working with multiple coil builds is to be clear about what is going on.

Two 1.5ohm coils will work out to a .75ohm build. Pretty low. With Dual coil builds you halve the resistance.

I generally like to be around 2.1ohm with the MVP. Anywhere from 1.5 - 3.5ohm would work pretty well with it though.

Here's a link to a coil calculator:

Good thing to keep handy.

Also:

Rebuildable Atomizer Systems

This link takes you to the ECF RBA forum. Pay particular attention to the stickies. Lots of crucial information regarding coils and coiling, batteries, and safety.

And, just to back up a bit: Yes, the high wattage devices really come into their own with multiple coil builds. The other thing is that the new chips, like the DNA and SX series, have lower current limits which allow them to sub ohm effectively.

Great information thank you!
