So I've been favoring my Vamo over the MVP V2 due to the MVP having two main issues:

Extended vapes produce a weird taste after awhile. I don't know how to describe it other than to say it kind of reminds me of vaping straight steam... It's not warm, but it's an odd flavor that gets added in. I switched from wattage to voltage mode and now it seems to be less apparent. This is with the iClear 30 and Pink Spot Swagger, a juice with loads of flavor. Swapping the tank over to the Vamo produces a solid hit every time. Unfortunately the Vamo is still a Chinese mod and it's already lost some functionality in a button in 3 days of use. Derp.

The more annoying thing is that if I thread anything besides the iClear on the MVP, the firing button on the connection gets pushed down to the point that I have to pull it back up to work with the iClear. It's not hard to do, just annoying. In any event, I'm glad I tried switching it to voltage instead of wattage, I can't explain why but it at least reduces issue #1 :)

Yes Luv, remove the rubber tip that came on your iClear 30 drip tip =]
I wasn't talking about the rubber piece on drip tip, its the one in the tank, it needs to be there. I am pretty sure it has something to do with air holes, bc it is very hard to pull with no juice and detached from MVP2. I did notice the line up which helped a bit but still is not a comfortable draw. I am going to take apart and try to take some pics. I did try to poke it with a small needle and it would not go in very far at all. This would be loads easier if I had ever had a working one. Thanks for all the help. I can tell it wants to hit good, bc even for the horrible draw I can take it produces a warm(well warmer than miniprotank), vapor full hit. I just cant pull comfortably.

Ok so I took it back apart, sorry I could not get camera to focus so you could see air holes well. How many air holes is it supposed to have, mine has 2 which I would imagine is correct, bc thats how many my triton has(I think). I did see that the needle went all the way through but I had to find smallest needle to get it through. Is that about how thick everyone else s is? I just don't get it. With the cap inside the tank on it wont pull take it off and its got plenty of pull (with nothing in and detached). Ok so on everyone rubber thing how many slits does it have on the side. Mine has 2 and the other 2 push the wic down. Sorry, I just have never seen a working one so its extra difficult trying to figure out what is wrong. I did notice if I don't tighten in down it is a tad better but still nowhere near a decent pull. It almost gives me a headache to try to hit it a few times.

I'm petty sure she was funnining with you on the drip tip crack :)

Not sure what else to suggest at this point. Air ports are clear, two air holes is correct, two slits in rubber cap is correct. It's starting to sound like maybe the coil itself is bad? I really can't think of any thing else without seeing it first hand. If nothing else, I hope your B+M can straighten it out for you.

Once you get the I30 warmed up, it give a good hot vape. The I15 throws that kind of heat with the second hit but they are so small and thirsty that I find myself not wanting to leave the house with one unless I carry a back up bottle of juice. I think you'll like the Kanger T2 very much. They are not the most common however and you may have to order a couple. You want the long wicks, the short ones work but don't wick as well.

Bed time on the East Coastpillow.gifLet us know how you make out.

Well it finally came!!!:D but, my iclear has a very tight draw. I tried taking off beauty ring and its no different. The MKP2 works great but is a very cool hit, which I am not sure I like as much as my trition. Any tips to a first time user of VV/VW? I have been playing with it and haven't really seen much of a difference until it starts to taste burnt. Thanks.

Lindsay,
The Triton tanks are IMO, one of the best clearos out there. Unfortunately, as you know.. they won't work on the MVP or any 510 or ego threaded device either (trying to find an adapter is difficult, if not impossible). The Triton is basically a Kanger T2 tank (even though the Kangers are bottom coil and the Tritons are top coil).

I have found the Kanger T3S to be a pretty good replacement for the Tritons. Yes they are bottom coil, so the vape is a little cooler (but not much). I remove one of the flavor wicks on the atomizer head (very easy to do with tweezers) and the flavor and vapor is as good the Tritons.

One other thing, I use a 510-to-ego adapter with my T3S on the MVP, for improved airflow. Doesn't get much better, IMO. You might try not screwing your I30 tank down so tight to the MVP, leave it just a tiny bit loose and see if you get better airflow. Or as I mentioned above, pick up a 510-to-ego adapter, which might just make the difference also. The adapters only cost a couple of dollars.

An overly restrictive draw is no joy. :(
Cheers! :)

Thanks, I know I do love my triton tank. If I coud put the tank on the MVP2 life would be bliss. I did try to loosen and I could tell that it was better but still so resrtrictive it was not enjoyable. I could tell if it had just been a little tight it would have fixed it though. I decided to cut the tip of the rubber piece in the tank down and it seems to be better. Its still not anywhere near a great hit but at least I am not about to pass out trying to vape on it. I did notice with both the iclear30 and MKPT2 it seems when it gets up to being as warm as I want it starts to taste burnt. I am not sure if I am going to be able to make it to B&M today as I am really busy but hopefully tomorrow. I can tell the MVP2 would be awesome device if I could just find an acceptable tank I know I will love it. I will say I think the KMPT2 will be a good tank for menthol's and cooler juices. I put my honeydew in it last night and it was much better than my Cinnamon danish was.

As of now Vape 101 doesn't carry iClear 30 coils. I had similar problem so I just went out and purchased a few coils. I don't blame Vape 101 as they send a sealed box with iClear in it. Getting the MVP 2 for under $40.00 was good enough for me.

I'm wondering if there is a way to install a spring under the firing pin to get rid of this issue when switching tank types. May not be an issue much longer though as I ordered a second mini-pt2. When switching between the EVODS and the PT, the PT doesn't make a connection so it appears the EVOD is pushing the firing pin down.

Instead of messing with the firing pin on the mvp 2.0 I am currently just pulling out the connector pin that goes into the head a little because these are simple to replace at the moment if something happens until I can figure out a permanent fix.

Yeah I just watched video for it, and saw it was on there. I think it is to help not get juice down the hole, not sure though. I just don't get it. I have tried putting on all different ways it just is super tight with it on. So no one else had this issue?

Same for me. Tight draw on my MVP, but the same tank on my other mods is fine. Still tight, but not as tight as on the MVP.

If your local shop has some, pick up a Kanger T2 with the long wicks. They are identical to the Triton tanks but have standard ego threading. If they don't have them, you can order them from Discount Vapers here: Kanger T2 Clearomizers

Ok so I can't wait to go to B&M so I wanted t place an order for 2 vision vivi nova's and 2 kanger t2's but I need some help ordering replacement coils. The lowest I have went on my triton is 2.4(i didn't have VV so I didn't want it to hit weird). As you all know I like a warm vape. At litecigusa.net they only have t2's in 2.0, so thats ok. With Vivi nova they offer 1.2, 1.5 and 2.2. I am pretty sure I want the 1.2 or 1.5 but this is my first VV/VW devise so all I know about lower resistence is it produces a warmer vapor. What is everyone's experience? Thanks.

Ordered my MVP 2.0 on Friday, it is here today.

Ordered 11.01.2013 - Friday

Arrived 11.04.2013 - Monday

Output button : Flush, no "fix" required.

Fire button: easy to push, no worse than my EVOD Battery button.

Evod Tanks: No issues. Plenty of airflow. Have tried 2 of the 4 I have. (I'm also boiling hemp, helping child with homework, etc. too busy to test out the other two, but as they are all genuine EVOD tanks I don't doubt that they will be fine).

I am seeing none of the QC issues others have experienced. SO either I am very lucky or this batch is "fixed"

So, either they fixed the issues or I got real lucky. Custard's Last Stand has a whole new flavor profile now. hehe

Just the other day I posted somewhere that Nickoticket Juice would taste good in a spoon with a lighter waving underneath. (Saw that on "Intervention" program). LOL
But I agree.
I just love my MVP2!
0 complaints from me. 0

i get an odd taste when i do longer draws off of mine ... i figured that was just from the coil and wicking material drying out and charring a little bit.

I have a theory but no way to back it up. My vamo uses cheap PWM and you can hear clearos and Vivi's "rattlesnake" and not do a solid draw. Hard to explain but if you've heard it, you'll know what I mean. The MVP does *NOT* do that so my thought is the power of the MVP is a bit cleaner and more consistent than my other options so on a long draw I might be getting into dry-hit territory. It settles down just fine and if I'm just taking 2-3 second pulls which is more typical for me, it's fine. I do prefer VV mode over VW mode on the MVP V2 for what it's worth.

To the poster who thinks they have a bad iClear (DOA coil), it very well may be the firing pin issue...

On that site, both the clearo and the replacement heads show the short wicks. The price is good but you can find them several places for less than $5.00 with the long wicks and you will be much happier.

Stick with a 2.2'ish for now with the vivi. In a month or two you might want to fool around with lower ohm stuff but for now I would stick with 2.2. That is kind of the area of "standard", but they all work.

Edit: 1000yrs posted a pretty good link above.

Can you give me a link to somewhere that has them that sells legit vision vivi novas I have heard of a lot of places selling knock offs. I think that's what my B&M sells that's why I am just ordering. I knew the 2.2 is the common resistance but, I was under the assumption the lower the resistance the warmer the vape. Are there negatives to doing lower resistance, bc I love warm vape.

Thanks but it is not gurgling. when I pull on it without being screwed down I can barely get any air through. It is very tight draw. When I hit it I can get vapor but it taste like s***. oh ands its the 30.

I do not like the I30 at all.....EVODS are great on it...and T3's....I16 are pretty good too....BUT NOT the I30 for me anyway. And I have it set at 7 watts.
