What's up guys! Didn't know this thread existed. I bought a MVP V2 just a couple of months ago and I absolutely love this thing. Today I ordered an Aspire nautilus tank from GotVapes and right after I clicked the confirm button, my stomach sank. I realized I did not even check to see if it worked well with the MVP V2! Please guys, put my mind at ease. Or shatter my dreams, whatever. lol

Hey everyone! I picked up an mvp v1 earlier this week as my first vape. I love this thing! Today I just picked up a protank 2 on everyones recommendations. While using the tank, I notice whenever I go above 3.9v my mvp shuts itself off. I am using the stock heads in the tank. Why might it be doing this? Is it a safety shutoff?

I asked this same question in another thread and was told that if there's a connection issue the pin on the nautilus can be adjusted slightly to make contact, just like with most others. So you should be set. I must admit I am jealous, I would love a nautilus to put on top of the MVP! Maybe some day...

I have a newb question.

(I am such a newb....)

How long does it take to charge an MVP?

I got one 12 days ago, and today, after valiantly fighting on for several puffs, it's obviously too low in power to continue.
It says it has 3.6v (or it did) and I can tell the time has come.

Normally, I charge my 18650s in the garage (car building) in a special container, but I'm wondering if I can charge my MVP indoors with a mains adapter? Do I need a special rating for the mains adapter or are my Joyetech 5v...500mAh output ones good enough?

Thanks. :)

They charge fairly fast. Between 2 and 3 hours. I plug mine into a LG G2 charger.

Hmmm...... Well, if you still had 3.6 V then you were not empty but I'm going to guess that you are probably reading it wrong.

When your MVP is getting low the fire button will turn yellow, when it is really low it goes red, and then it will not fire. Definitely charge it when it turns yellow because it goes flat quick from there.

You can charge any time. LiPo batteries like to be kept at a higher state of charge and frequent charging is good for battery health. Charge early, charge often.

I charge inside. I use my cell phone charger most of the time.

I'll go and check. Give me a few minutes.

Thanks for the help though, everybody. :)

I use my IGO L every day on my MVP and I work alsome. I don't care for the iclear 30 either good luck

Thank you to all who replied! Glad Im not the only one having trouble with the MVP2 & Iclear30. And thanks GoodOl'eboy, I just bought the Igo L. Glad it is single coil too, which will get me acquainted with rebuildables/etc.
Now if I could just find a freakin way to vape Fuzion Vapors juices I would be on the right track! Seems like dripping might be the only option, as every clearo Ive tried the stuff in has flooded or spat.

Iclear 16s are both working nicely too. They offer a very warm vape as others have said - the tip can get a bit hot if you chain vape or have the power a bit high. Excellent. The Kanger Evod nightmare is firmly behind me. Anyone got a video or guide on rebuilding these iclear 16 coils. They look very accessible.

I've had iClear16s for a long time. They are a good vape, mostly. I use a CE4-510 adapter on them which puts some distance between the atomiser head and mouth. Works for me. :)

Not ever tried a rebuild.... out of my league with the dual coil and the heads last me months anyway.

OK, so reading 3.6 and amber.

Charging it now. :)

hey djsvapour, whats up ;)

this is what I have archived as a standard battery explanation

4.2 is a full charge usually.

The manual says that green is 3.75 and above, yellow is 3.61-3.75 and red is below 3.61
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
from Innokin MVP manual
1.Green LED light = battery voltage is more than 3.75 V
2.Yellow LED light = battery voltage between 3.61V and 3.75V
3.Red LED light = battery voltage is lower than 3.61V
4. Red LED will blink for 8 seconds when battery capacity is lower than 3.3V(the device turns off automatically)
-------------------------------
from "Battery University"
Li-Ion does not need to be fully charged, nor is it desirable to do so...
in fact, it is better not to fully charge, because high voltage stresses the battery
every reduction of 0.10v% (charging) is said to double life cycle of battery
-charging the li-ion cell to 4.2v expect 300-500 discharge cycles
-charging the li-ion cell to 4.1v expect 600-1000 discharge cycles
-------------------------------

so, charging the battery to 4.1v (not full 4.2v) will double the life of your battery

I don't allow mine to get to yellow if I can avoid it
and now I don't allow it to complete a charge (to 4.2v) if I can help it
I use my cell phone charger inside all the time
you do realize the lights on the 'fire' button indicate state of charge

hello Squall409, welcome to the world of MVP

so you have the older version #1 ?

what Ω is your coil ?

there is (3) things that make the MVP shut down...

- low battery

- a short circuit

- exceeding 3.5A

are you sure is has a FULL (or good enuff) charge ?

thinking / guessing, since it DOES work for ya,
when you crank it to 3.9> it draws heavy and the battery charge
sets it into shut down ?????

does your fire button flash before it shuts down ?
