agree with what midnite said, also perhaps;
I think it sounds like a ‘connection’ issue with the MVP (notorious)
you got one of these ?

bet that just might set you & your toppers straight – just maybe
then there is always pull the pin on suspected toppers
hit-n-miss and doesn't hurt to try (adapter)

Just today I was attaching my Davide Aspire/Kanger BDC combo when again it didn't make contact. It's always a problem with Kanger and Aspire heads. But this version of the MVP has a particularly deep contact. Same happens with the SVD, stops, no contact. Some things you can't pull the pin and the adapter is going to make your connection wobbly. I use another thing on those toppers.

The one I posted is an SLB, 1300w now... Dreadfully long.

yepper
when they came out, I thought they were cool
1300 USB screen (before the spinner 1300)
then read many not having any good luck with them

I posted the SLB site, that's who I seen offered them back then...

I'm reading there 2000 not 1500
For double coils is good, I've depleted my MVP with them today....

My 2 SLB have worked well, the 650 lasted me almost a year and the one going is 10 months already. For a quick vape on the go, they're great and not very expensive.

I had a 650 SLB and it lasted less then 6 months. I ordered a 1300 from Aqua Vapor during a nice sale. It died after the first charge. When I notified Aqua Vapor they said to send it back and they would refund my money. They were having so many problems with them they were going to discontinue them. I have not checked lately whether they still carry them, but perhaps they have been improved. I would not trust one, although it looks good. Na, looks can be deceiving....

PS this was last year, not recently

I don't want to do propaganda, but buying from reputable places, even if expensive, pays in the long run. Only one thing from GotVapes failed me in the two years I've been buying from them, yet other things did failed miserably.

Went to DesertVapes and put "Sigelei Zmax" in their Search...but all they showed was the "Smoktech Zmax".

Are they the same???

Also...the "Menu order" they show does not list Wattage Up/Wattage Down. Are they Variable Wattage?

Smoktech Zmax

USB passthrough...only 1300 mAh...but 3.0V-6.0V...

$21.25 Evod-V v3 1300mAh Variable Voltage / Wattage Rechargeable Battery - 3.0-6.0V / 3.0-15.0W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

No the Smoktech is a different company.

Apparently they have removed them from the website. Maybe they are discontinued with the 20w 30w and 100w stuff coming out.

Switch chargers, if it still doesn't charge return it.

Or try power cycling. Turn it off and on a couple of times. That's fixed more than on mvp.

Just to clarify, the light dues come on when hitting it right? Just doesn't light up when charging correct?

Try a power cycle and or different charger as has been suggested.

Via a possessed phone thats autocorrect is just silly

Hey Spooky (and other new guy that I noticed about 6 pages back whom I've forgotten your name :() Dang, y'all are BUSY overnight.

Welcome to the MVP club! I have a pair (one at the office and one at home) backed up by VV3s (again, one at office, and one at home)

Guys (Puf, Keirster, Donesmokin, Paul, Herb, Midnite, and all you others who've been so helpful and kind with my silly questions) I keep seeing all these other "shinies" that you keep referencing, and I just don't know about pulling the trigger on any of them. Maybe I'm a "plain Jane" and I'm settled into my "vaping comfort" zone. I'm still working on my kayfuns - trying to find a build that rocks my world. Just started DIY'ing my juice. Haven't delved into drippers (maybe I just like the convenience of having a loaded tank and not having to constantly refill?) Believe it or not, I am quite pleased with my army of EVOD tanks (donesmokin, I just tore down and rebuilt about 6 brand new kanger heads last night with your cellucotton :D) I even tried something goofy last night. Had a couple of too-thin wisps of wick and an empty kf deck, so I threaded them into the coil together and split the tails like this:

It seems to be working well, and I haven't gotten any burnt hits yet!

This momma turns the big five-oh in a couple of months - I am prolly gonna treat myself to "something" (I'll be seven months smoke-free by then) and I should be past my "break-even" point of cost of cigs compared to cost of gear. I'm looking at a new MVP (energy line), but part of me wants something *MORE* - I just don't know what that is.... I reply to newbies' questions about "What should I get?" I don't know what else is out there (mostly because I haven't wanted to spend insane amounts of money until I "even out" what I would have spent on smokes.) In my head, I feel like I need to "perfect" my kf builds in order to truly enhance my vaping experience - but why should I drop $180 on a Provari when my MVP and an EVOD keeps me away from cigarettes? Would I really get more flavor/vapor with something different?

My local B&M is good (juices are AMAZING), but it just seems so much more geared to "starter" devices. They have some mech mods (which truthfully, I'm not sure I want in my arsenal.) I wish I could have a "vape meet" with you guys - you're so much more informative!

Sorry for the ramble. I feel like this thread is my "home base", and you always have such excellent advice to share....

If you're good with the MVP/EVOD set up you're way ahead of the game already! You can work on your Kayfun stuff at your leisure and really research what you want to buy next. There's lots of cool stuff out there but they all do basically the same thing as the equipment you have. I will say with the Magma RDA I can put a bunch of juice in and go for about half an hour so dripping isn't the PITA it use to be. Also I'm taking shorter drags at higher watts with the Kayfun and Magma equipment lately (they can handle the power) which seems more like the way I remember smoking. Sure is hard to beat the MVP and your favorite topper though.

one of these special

ego to ego adapters

might be what cures what ails your MVP device...

:)

I saw the no online sales thing the other day and ended up ordering from MVS. The adapter fixed up my FT eGo twist with bad 510 threads but the FT Vamo V5 has bigger problems than just the threading. I love Fasttech but I have received some sub par stuff from them. :(

Thanks for this. I'm using a Vision Spinner II (which I suspect is a fake, the more I know the more I'm suspecting my local B&M place as being a little sketchy) and either my Protank 3 or my Aspire Mini Nautilus. I'm just enjoying the heck out of them both along with some really nice juice. I'm already looking at crazy pie-in-the-sky things like a Provape and a Kayfun but I think the MVP is going to be my go to. Off to check the mailbox again knowing full well it's not there!

EDIT: I checked my tracking and it's been delivered, I should get it today!

The pass through is one of, if not my favorite feature, of my MVP. I have a charger at home, work and car. Always able to charge when needed and it is always within 3 feet of my person at all times ;)

IMHO, the Kayfun and MVP are one of the best combinations in vaping.

2 very well made devices. Can't wait to see what the MVP 3 will offer.

Let's call the mvp 3 what it should really go by: MVP 30.

Should have a DNA 30 chip much like the SVD 2 has a dna 20. But also add the bang-buck to handle lower voltage/wattage.

Just sayin...

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I try and charge soon and often

if I can, but you know how that goes...

ideally I never see yellow, and stop before green light goes off...

:headbang:

I have been following your lead for a few months now , always charge it when it hits 3.7 and take it off when it hits 4.1 .

For those that may be wondering the MVP still works and performs fine at 3.7 , but by charging it early and taking it off the charger a little early you can increase it's lifespan considerably.

Battery University discusses how to increase the life of the type of battery the MVP is equipped with . Lots of great info on battery types, charging , increasing life etc...

I have been following Puffs routine and have been very pleased , when charged to 4.1 instead of 4.2 you will notice voltage drop rather quickly to 3.9 which last a long while and when voltage hits 3.8 you will see the longest stretch of optimal performance before it hits 3.7 again.

After a lot of reading about battery's , longevity and the things that cause early failure and degradation i am convinced that erratic charging practices and subjecting battery's to certain extremes are a major cause of early MVP fatalities , just my opinion of course.

Note to self: never try completely dissassembling an RBA next to the kitchen sink, especially with the water running.

I screwed up guys. I had some time today and decided to completely take apart the Russian 91% to see if I could find any problems with it. Unfortunately the plastic isolator rectangle under the center metal block (which is secured by the screw that contacts the MVPs center terminal) is now lost to the municipal sewage system :(

I surely havent had much luck with this Russian. I understand its (mostly) parts compatible with a Kayfun Lite Plus, but Ive seen mentions that certain parts arent the same, and ive also read comments where the wrong part was sent.

Do any of you have a link to a vendor thats quick (note: this by definition excludes "Fasttech" :D) who you know for sure has the right part? I just want to make sure I order the right one; dont care if its 99 cents or 4 dollars.

Hopefully after I get that my thorough cleaning/soaking will have fixed my wicking problem.
